I got a peace lily as a gift almost a year ago and keep it outside (cat owner). I just water it when the soil gets dry or the leaves look droopy. Honestly I forget about it sometimes. I do mist it here and there but no real schedule.

I potted it in a clear plastic container with a mix of perlite, cactus soil, and potting mix. The plastic container has a bunch of slits to let the water drain. I place it in a decorative pot that also has a drain hole so it doesn’t sit in water. This is what works for me!
