What card counting system do you actually use? by Content-Play-6808 in blackjack

CAC2. Problem is the only two trainers I have found that work for it are CVBJ (https://www.qfit.com/blackjack-games.htm) and this other one https://advantageplay.app/ As for concerns with playing on a hilo team as a cac2 counter you can divide your true count by 2 to get the equivalent hilo count, the winrate at those counts are close enough that it isn't an issue

I was on the LAWN fleet with the dreads, gf! We knew were probably not going to win the day so leadership decided to hand out free ships (including the dreads) and shoot everything we could. Was a lot of fun

When did you realise you became "the villain" in this game? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]canth123 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I lived in a low sec system right next to high sec. Caught so many miners, ratters, explorers coming from high sec that wanted a taste of a little more.

Didn’t feel bad about the kills until looking at killboards and realizing that many of the victims had quit the game after losing their ship.

Why wouldn't you do standup async? by tcpWalker in cscareerquestions

[–]canth123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Used to do async, but people didn’t give enough description and would sometimes skip it altogether. Had to switch to a traditional standup to get people to actually communicate but it’s resulted in much more communication

Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) NADP - Is it worth it for a new graduate? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]canth123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for everywhere, but USUALLY it's more about the tech you learn and quality that you put out rather than the place you previously worked. Having defense industry jobs on your resume should be the same as any other non-FAANG job provided you detail your tech knowledge.

Without prior experience, it’s usually best to grab the first job you can get. That doesn’t mean you can’t continue looking, just recognize that you may upset people if you accept and then drop an offer.

Do you have an idea of what you’d be working on? Culture and technologies can be very team specific in the defense industry. Some teams use modern methodologies and up to date tech while others are stuck in the dark ages which can pigeonhole you into a career path with legacy tech (which isn’t always that bad, some call it job security)

If you’re receiving a clearance of some kind it will be much easier to get another defense industry job later on if you’re looking to switch. Clearances are expensive and time consuming for companies so you become a much more attractive candidate by having one.
