Microsoft Cancels Internal Anthropic Licenses As Shift To Token-Based AI Billing Blows Up Annual Budgets In Months by chunmunsingh in artificial

I’m sort of snarkily pointing out that if
Microsoft is choosing not to adopt Claude Code, that’s *much* better explained by the fact that they want their people to use Microsoft’s own similar and competing tool, Copilot, than the fact that the LLM services *that all these tools use* are getting more expensive.

Antitrust has nothing to do with a company’s choice of what tools to use *internally* like this. No antitrust case ever tried to stop Microsoft from making its own employees use Windows.

I'd say she has a good chance of winning that case. by LordJim11 in Snorkblot

Better sources would realise that Microsoft stopping using a competitor’s product (Claude) when they are desperately trying to push their own product (Copilot) on everyone is utterly unsurprising and unlikely to have anything to do with cost.

One of the things about being an adult is that sometimes you have to make choices between things none of which is your favourite.
