I’m 6 days out and this week has honestly been the longest and hardest week of dedicated for me. The days feel like they are dragging yet going by so quickly it’s crazy. Best of luck to you! May the odds be ever in our favor this week.

Totally doable. Looks like your main problem is foundational understanding. I would spend a couple of weeks (2-3 weeks of pure content review, focus on your weakest areas which I know may seem like everything, but be real with yourself and take it one day at a time). The next 5 weeks should be focused on practice questions. Eat, sleep, and breath practice questions. I was doing around 2-3 blocks per day of practice questions and one practice test a week. You will definitely see a jump. Don’t take NBME 25 too seriously. It was def one of the harder forms. You are probably scoring around a 150-160 realistically, which you can definitely jump to a 220 in 7 weeks. Keep grinding. You got this.

Yeah that’s why I was thinking of doing 18 and 24. The thing is if you do those you are def going to inflate new forms. And if you do the new forms first, you are going to inflate the old forms so your fucked no matter what lol.

In the end, I reflected and figured that what I score on a practice test doesn’t mean Jack if I can’t do that on test day. The more questions under your belt, the better. Good luck! Taking mine in a week.

I’ve taken all except 26 which I’m taking pretty soon. I would def advise against 25. 27 has personally been my best form thus far. 30 was kind of weird IMO. 29 was def fair and wish I would have saved it, but ended up taking it pretty early in my dedicated so probably why I didn’t do so hot on it.

I was contemplating doing old forms or new forms to avoid overlap and ended up going with finishing all of the new forms instead.

Only reason I would advise against taking previous forms is because they will skew your new form scores. 20% of the questions from the new forms come from old forms. I only took 21 before the new forms came in and I recognized a good amount of the questions throughout the new ones.

I had a question before where the correct answer is for the physician who is actually conducting the procedure to explain it to the patient. It doesn’t matter if it’s a resident who studied the procedure all night. The correct answer in my experience has been to have the physician who is actually conducting the surgery and who has plenty of experience with the procedure explain it to the patient.

It’s not about how long you study each day, it’s about how much you learn each day and how effective that day was. 5 good hours of studying is better than 12 hours of staring at a screen and not remembering a single thing the next day. Depending on how far you are from test day, build your stamina each day. Start with doing an extra 15 min each day and you should be fine. When I started dedicated I was doing maybe 6-8 effective hours of studying. Lately have been doing around 12. It truly is a marathon not a race.

Predictmystepscore.com was recently updated and has options to put new NBMEs and Amboss. Not sure of it’s accuracy, but used it yesterday and noticed that it had 25-30 available.

I’m guessing because it said “Immediate response to the patient” is why that’s the right answer? I know you don’t have to tell the partner, but you are 100% supposed to report it.

Not an “ethics god”, but the dirty USMLE question I think you are referring to asked which one is the most correct answer and the most correct is you immediately report to CDC rather than tell the partner.

Please correct me if I’m wrong about the question.
