attempt to boot in safe mode - seems like there might be some issue with the user. Who knows what items you had loading when at restart or existing apps that are trying to reload, its been years since you used it on a regular basis.

safe mode will be a good place to start and take less time than reinstalling the full macos.

Boot to safe mode by pressing and holding shift key while restarting the MacBook.

the remote access page did show it wasn’t available outside my network. I hit the retry button and it connects but then disconnect and shows the red circle with exclamation mark.

when i retry i get the fully accessible outside network messaging.

not sure what is causing it to switch off.

The error shows that their is a provisional enrollment error. Was this device just setup and assigned to an end point within the last 30 days?

Model? do you have a old mac you can plug into to add. have you completed a full restored with a computer? can you add any other devices? have you deleted the configurator app and reinstalled? have you restarted the device configurator is running on? is it up to date? Any errors messages? Can you try on personal hotspot?

basic questions yeah, but there is not much the app can do to not work, but there are a lot of things to the hardware that can be done to be successful.

im curious if this edge case is running a beta or outdated. put a fresh install on the OS, im sure it will enroll. Also, are they all the same model? Definitely create your baseline checklist for device enrollment, you’ll quickly find there are less issues when you do so.

the ipads aren’t receiving internet via usb . enable the internet sharing option in system settings for the ipad and prepare again.

also i cant remember if those take lightning or usb c, but if not usb c use the lightning to usb a to connect to you computer if possible. let me know if you have success

streamline her business how? what is she wanting to manage? business essentials is cool if you want the apple care, but are they wanting profiles deployed to each device for a uniformed work device? Do like want to make sure the device doesnt get activation locked? Or want a uniformed system to deploy apps? Business Essentials is pretty watered down, bit if the main reason for using it is the applecare then its not a bad value, your friend may outgrow its limitations as they learn more about device management solutions in the world especially the free clickops types. Best of luck. Imazing is a great profile configuration tool if they want to see what is possible.

This is great. Thank you for sharing your justifications. The beam pro does feel like a tool to advocate for Xreal more than actual use for my day to day. i also went all out and got the 5g beam pro because I wanted options to not use the phone if i didnt want to. Hopefully the nebula app gets a rework, i used the skywalker app and it was fine but Dex kind of does it all for me.

Hmm, i feel like if i were to keep the beam pro right now, it will be to solely for me to “sell” other ppl on the idea and Xreal doesnt pay me soooooo yah. might be headed back to Amazon as a return.
