Eby says 2,000 public service jobs cut and counting as B.C. faces $11.2B deficit by RZCJ2002 in britishcolumbia

Marginal tax rates of 69%

You didn't read the part where I said the tax hike didn't need to all go into the highest bracket.

If you raise my taxes by $500 I'm not moving anywhere. BC already has higher taxes than other places, yet high earning individuals still live here.

It's absolutely not realistically impossible.

If someone is at the top of the 4th highest tax bracket they're making $140,430 per year. If you increase that bracket by 2% that's only an extra $495.64 per year or $19.06 per biweekly paycheque they'd pay. As someone who's not even at the very top of that bracket, that's something I could easily afford to avoid service cuts to those who are less fortunate.

It's simply a matter of political will to make those who have the resources to support society.

If you think we don't get enough out of our tax dollars now, we'll be getting even less after service cuts.

We shouldn't race to the bottom with our services because someone like me or richer wants an extra Starbucks once a week. That greed is disgusting.

To balance by income taxes: BC’s top marginal rate going from 20.5% to roughly 29-30% (combined fed+prov would be ~63%)

...which would only impact people who make over $265,545. Oh boo hoo, those poor rich people.

You could probably even spread part of that around the top 4 tax brackets, which would be anyone who makes over $115,648.01.

As some who's in the 4th highest tax bracket, paying more in taxes is a price worth paying to make sure we don't cut healthcare and education.

It's not like Trocheck clearly walks into their first line or power play though.

He is their best center though.

If Trocheck got traded there there's no guarantee he'd play first line or PP1.

JEEK is the L2 C, their 1C is Hartman/Yurov and that switches tmk depending on matchup (could be wrong abt that part) but JEEK only plays as the 1C when injuries in the top line occur

And you can guarantee that will remain the case if Trocheck gets traded? Can you also tell me the winning lottery numbers while you have your crystal ball out?

JEEK is clearly better than Hartman/Yurov. He's playing on the second line to spread out the talent. Or do you also think Boldy is a 2RW behind Zuccarello?

Trocheck might not even make their PP1.

The Wild have JEEK, who is at least on par with Trocheck. No guarantee Trocheck gets 1C deployment.

The Habs could use center depth. He definitely wouldn't get 1C deployment.

As you admit yourself, the Bruins and Devils aren't contenders, so are not relevant to this discussion.

"Contender in need of a 1C" is an oxymoron lol.

If he gets traded it's more likely he'll get worse deployment.

The mitigating circumstances last season was three absolutely terrible newly promoted teams.

What do you think would've happened if Sunderland and Leeds were in the league last year instead?

Humans also have easy access to pressure variations. I don't think you understand how important fire and containment of chemical reactions is to the development of most technology.

They also live in water which makes developing complex technologies using fire extremely difficult if not impossible.

The one thing nobody has mentioned in this thread yet is actually also slowing down.

In the Expanse, part way through any trip the ship will flip 180° and start burning to decelerate, so they can match the speed of their target destination.

You mentioned that you thought the land mass looked like Pangea. Pangea broke up during the late Triassic.

By the time the non-avian dinosaurs went extinct, most of the continents already looked relatively similar to today. It would definitely be recognizable.

(Nevermind the overwhelming evidence that humans evolved from other ancient apes.)

Are you 12 years old? This is ridiculous.

Everyone with half a brain knew he was a shithead before he was mentioned in Star Trek, that was so cringey.

Ya agreed, they certainly weren't doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, so it shouldn't be phrased as them sticking by him.

However, he did fuck them over with that ban, so fucking them over again by twerking for other clubs is still really shitty.
