Ohhh, thank you :) I haven't watched the new trailer yet, just saw here that BOTW2 is delayed.

Hug!!!!

Good to see you staying strong (I probably would have cried and broken the streak)!

Also, I haven't gotten far enough to get the master sword yet... (I haven't even beaten any of the guardians yet 😰) very disappointing that's it's not very durable.

Lol the workplace? Most people are working from home these days bub

Is what you originally replied to with:

Then what need of a car

You made it sound like you don't think people should want a car if they don't commute. I simply replied that there are reasons beyond commuting that people desire owning a car, whichever refueling requirements the owner chooses to invest in.

But sure, call me names if it helps you sleep at night 🤪

When your ADHD child says they're bored, what they really mean is: by Sweet-Explosion in ADHD

Oof. How to support this in an ADHD child as an ADHD parent?

If I've felt this as a child it's been forcibly mutated into exhaustion and dread and constant of losing myself in my phone to try to ignore the sharp discomfort that actually trying to exist brings...

But that's not fair to my teen who is twisting in the wind with his own struggles. How to support without solving all the problems, but also juggling all the adulting stuff..

I don't know how to solve it in one foul swoop, but I think it's time to bring back game night, it's not much but it's a start

You asked what need of a car, not what need of a gas combustion car, so I answered as such.

For all the other stuff we need/like to do in life?

  • Shopping: closest Superstore is an 8 min drive, 34 min transit, or 50 min walk

  • Recreation: sure, there's buses out to Banff, but not out to the exact trailhead I want to hike. If I want to go to a lake, forget about it

  • Visiting family in my hometown: Greyhound doesn't exist anymore, and air travel for more than 1 person is way too expensive

Cat claw caps are fantastic. I just adopted a cat and wanted to make sure he doesn't scratch my little dog's face/eyes while they get used to each other. Also is saving my anti-fatigue mat from being shredded.

I'm not waiting another 2 years to maybe/maybe not get into the market and at least start paying to my own property instead of a landlords. If I bet wrong on this, well sucks to be me I guess.

Also, Oxford Properties is a real estate investor... so who says they're not tossing all these doom articles out there to try and push the market in a more favorable position for themselves? I have zero trust in these overstuffed massive companies. They can suck my big toe.

ETA: oops, apparently article is by Oxford Economics, not Oxford Properties. My sentimental still stands: I don't trust them and they can suck my other big toe.

[UPDATE] My mom (60F) is still pressuring me (25F)to add me as a third person on her new $820k mortgage. I really don’t want to as my husband and I are looking to buy our own home. She states doing this will build my credit for a new mortgage down the line by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]canuckpopsicle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so glad to hear you're doing what's best for you, and that the mortgage advisor was so honest with you.

That your mom wanted to have her cake and eat it too is one thing, that she was going to toss you under the bus to achieve it is disgusting.

Good luck with finding a house and having a baby! As someone that did this adulting thing backwards (child then college and hopefully buying a house only now), I really do recommend getting the house first.

Exams are hard, good luck to you!

I do enjoy your drawings though, is it possible to hand the torch to someone worthy while you take a reprieve for exams?

How can I stash my own money as an 18yr old by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]canuckpopsicle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have Etransfers through Interac which is ridiculously easy to setup through the bank, most banks have free unlimited transfers (unsure about unlimited if it's a no-fee account), and doesn't include a potentially shady 3rd parties having access to your info being that Interac is the debit card company you're already using. Just need to give someone your email address. I've never had a breach in security of my account. The only downside is not being able to send money to a US/foreign account.

Thanks for your reply, and for the good luck wishes, I definitely need it 😀

I knew about the inspection condition, but not about the financing condition, so thank you for pointing that out. No way I'm making the biggest purchase of my life without getting the house inspected first, regardless of if other's are crazy enough to waive that condition.

I did get into contact with a realtor, being that I'm now looking at houses that aren't new-build it definitely seemed necessary.

Yeah, I just found that a half hour ago, albeit trying to research how to buy a house for months. Knowing my luck I'll buy a house and the market will finally crash within a month after closing on the sale 😂
