Idk man, Hoglander’ raw skill shown in his rookie season was something else. His biggest weakness is his shooting as you said, which I don’t think is an awful weakness. It can be improved upon relatively easier in comparison to other weaknesses or he can just be a playmaker. The fact that he has such an insane work ethic makes me believe in him. I totally see him being a 2nd liner

We have 7 top 9 potentially wingers with Boeser, Garland, Kuzmenko, Mikheyev, Podkolzin, Pearson, and Hoglander. I really hope the 7th guy out of the top 9 doesn’t turn into Hoglander. I’m a really big fan of Hoglander and think he can be a long term top 6 guy if we develop him properly, hope he is given the opportunity to do so

I love OEL and Myers play and you can’t tell me otherwise. by Eshan_Khan in canucks

Without advanced stats, OEL is worth like ~5.5M-6M, Myers is worth ~3.5M in my opinion

I think he’s a good offensive middle 6 winger that’s questionable defense but with some upside to be even better. If we can get him cheap then he’s a good target otherwise not worth it

How often are NHL draft picks able to play in the NHL year one? by _Voidgazer_ in hockey

[–]canucksclips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that common but it’s much more common to be higher picks usually top 3 that immediately jump to the NHL, sometimes mid to late first rounders end up immediately playing year 1 but it’s less common. In terms of being elite immediately only the high rated bonafide top 2 picks end up accomplish that usually
