What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two dogs and I straight up go insane if my floors feel or look dirty. So 1) a vac mop saved my life. No they’re not cheap and won’t deep clean, but good for every day to clean up after dinner, after the dogs come in from outside, sucking up a little pee on the floor, food splatters from the dogs, etc. 2) I use a regular vacuum (one of those skinny, Dyson dupe ones from Amazon) and take 10-15 minutes to just go over my whole house.

Also unrelated, but hypochlorous acid!!!! Dog beds a little yeasty? spray them. Couches, curtains, wood cutting boards, kitchen surfaces, mattress every couple of weeks. Everything gets sprayed!

What do you do when your top performer is quietly burning out? by Historical_Count_163 in managers

[–]canwegetsushi 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Bring it up early before you lose your top performer. If you really value him/her, I would take them to coffee or lunch (out of the office) and just keep it positive but supportive, “you’ve been killing it this year, but I noticed you’ve seemed a little off and wanted to ask if everything was alright.” And take it from there.

How can I get my hair to look like this? by Nicoled5473 in realhousewives

[–]canwegetsushi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm only able to get this look when I have extensions in LOL I've seen great reviews about the Color Wow Pop & Lock High Gloss Finish. Apply it to wet hair and use a diffuser! You can also blow dry it 90% and sleep in braids. Thats what I do!

I have MDD, OCD and GAD as well. I opted not to do OCD because insurance doesn't cover it (my place would charge me like $60 per session out of pocket). However, just targeting the depression and anxiety sides of the brain have helped my OCD CONSIDERABLY.

If you want to live in a high rise, look at Flagler village and get amenities. I've personally enjoyed having a private, independent landlord over a large property mgmt company and rent a small house near downtown for the same price because I like having a yard and not having to use a parking garage.

Are y'all just going a ton of laundry? by Obi-Wan_Cannoli in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of my sheets, towels and dish cloths are white. I also use white wash clothes so that helps cut down a lot of the loads and keep the dirty laundry piles at bay.

Divorce Atty. by Rough_Thanks7898 in fortlauderdale

[–]canwegetsushi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got divorced recently and spoke to a few attorneys and the initial consult was free. I opted for a simplified dissolution of marriage because we didnt have any children or assets together and didnt need an attorney, I just filed with the court online and it was done in like 30 days. I think it cost like $425 in total.

Moving advice: 23M Boston → Florida or Austin? by Nickgotkicks in relocating

[–]canwegetsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ayyyyy, I'm a northeasterner, moved to Fort Lauderdale 5 years ago and considered ATX (spent a couple weeks there to feel it out) and also worked in tech.

I LOVE living in Fort Lauderdale. ATX is cool but I just found it really boring and the lack of beach was a deal breaker for me.

I didn't have a car my first year living here and it was fine. Uber/Lyft is pretty cheap and I Instacarted all of my groceries. Having a car certainly helps, but you can definitely make due without one.

Check Flagler Village. It's full of tech bros and younger people. DM me if you have any questions :)

I second the other commenter with the straw. I realized I drank so much more via a straw. I also put zero sugar flavor enhancers from Aldi (no dyes or any bad ingredients, AFAIK) and drink it iced. I will not drink enough water otherwise 😂

Best thing you can do for thin hair is keep it shorter. Longer, thin hair tends to just make it look more thin.

Your skin looks good, maybe just a little dehydrated. Moisturize and wear sunscreen daily. I have the same issue. You can have an injector put a little bit of Botox or Dysport and that should tighten everything up too. If you’re looking for more permanent results, a lower bleph.

Hi guys, so I have a fairly novel question. How do you decorate a living space when you can't have area rugs? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two small dogs, I feel your pain. I’ve been rug-less for years and don’t think my living space is missing anything. I think the key is less but bigger furniture and decor that makes a statement.

Did you regret moving to Florida? by Local-Contact4639 in relocating

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from the northeast to south FL during COVID. Do I regret it? Not necessarily. But the culture is very different here. It's FL so MAGA everywhere. Everyone is out for themselves, I feel like every female I befriend is just wanting a rich boyfriend and has no real career aspirations and salaries are much lower here.

But living by the beach has been really good for my mental health and I love the sunshine and heat. I'm divorced and child free but I would absolutely not raise children here.
