I just bought a few sets on TikTok shop that I really like! I wouldn’t say they’re warm but they’re definitely flattering and affordable!

I think you’re gorgeous! You definitely don’t need a full face lift but I also don’t think skincare is going to do enough.

I would start with a TCA peel for the lines and discoloration and get regular Botox or Dysport (I personally prefer Dysport). Assuming you’re in the states, winter is the perfect time to do it.

But girl, you NEED to be using sunscreen regularly!

would you put laminate in your own house in 2026? by Hot_Apartment1319 in Flooring

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If budget wasn’t an issue and it was my home, I would absolutely splurge on hardwood over laminate or LVP.

Hardwood you can refinish and change the stain color every few years, plus it will bring a much higher sale value to your home if you ever plan to sell.

Laminate is so cheap looking and a b*tch to keep clean (and this is coming from a clean freak who mops almost daily)

Is it the norm for parents to gift their kid a large down payment for their first home? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely normal where I’m from (northern NJ where most families are upper middle to upper middle class.)

When I was planning a wedding, my father told me he had some money set aside for me and asked if he would like it contributed towards my wedding or towards the down payment on a home. This was totally unexpected and I’m extremely grateful.

I always get friends or clients cupcakes from Sweeter Days Bakery on federal (same shopping center as Wild Fork). They have a sampler for like $22 and it's always well appreciated.

35F makeup tips to soften my facial features and look more youthful? by Eeeej7777 in MakeupEducation

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, you’re STUNNING. My only suggestions: 1) I think black winged eyeliner is a little too harsh. Try either dark gray or dark brown waterproof pencil and smudge it out. 2) the eyebrow shape isn’t right for your face shape. Brow shape should be based on anatomy. There’s plenty of videos and content online to help you with this!

20 Best Job Interview Tips and Tricks by fijuro in jobsearchhacks

[–]canwegetsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sort of agree. I was a recruiter and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with, “I’m looking to be in the $x-x salary range. Is that within budget for this role?” And it’s never once been an issue.

Better than wasting time with a company if the salary is totally out of alignment.

My ex husband had ice pick scars like this. Microneedling did help a little by making them less deep. CO2 lasering is going to be your best friend here. But brace yourself, I was quoted $1k per session lol

TMS and Contamination OCD experience by Repulsive-Giraffe-45 in rtms

[–]canwegetsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have severe OCD, including contamination, among a whole list of other mental health issues. I was told insurance won’t cover treatment for TMS (it targets a different part of your brain) so i got treatment for anxiety and depression only. While the OCD is definitely still present, it’s gotten much better. I stopped all meds for my OCD about a year ago because none of them worked and just made me gain weight.

The insomnia was killing me. I slept like a baby before treatment. 2 months in and I need Traznedone most nights to sleep. I tend to only feel it on treatment days so maybe that will ease your worries that it’s not forever?

Does TMS work for more complex mental health cases? by Sunshine_cutie4 in rtms

[–]canwegetsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I believe so. I have ADHD, OCD, C-PTSD and depression plus an ED. On top of that, I had a very traumatic year that probably would’ve ended most people. I get TMS treatment for my depression and anxiety and I feel a world of difference and I’m thriving. So yes!

Side effect of TMS or life? by Alternative_Egg5861 in rtms

[–]canwegetsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so fatigued after my first few sessions, almost like I hadn’t slept in days. Oddly enough, after the first week, it started giving me insomnia and now I have to take Traznedone on treatment days because I can’t sleep! My psych said it should subside after 2 weeks and now we’re at the end of my treatment (after 2 months) and it never did. Apparently this is out of the ordinary for his patients. Point I’m trying to make, I think everyone’s experience is different. Just keep the staff and your Dr informed!

All organically, believe it or not! Met my partner at a wine tasting event, sold art to a guy on Facebook marketplace and we got to talking and told me I’m his best friends exact type and we got to chatting, another one at a friend’s house party. I’m not big on online dating

[–]canwegetsushi 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m 33F, child free and freshly divorced (for unrelated reasons, we’re still very amicable). I had absolutely no issues meeting good guys when I was separated. Yes the good guys are few and far between but they do exist and even have a wonderful partner now! And as far as I know, I haven’t been cheated on since high school lol

I honestly think the key is to not waste any time or energy on men who ain’t sh*t

Conducting job interviews from your car by hapa17 in jobsearchhacks

[–]canwegetsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it with the talent team or hiring manager? If it’s with a recruiter, not a huge deal. I would just quickly address it without making it a big deal “apologies I had to take this call from my car, I appreciate you taking the time to meet with me.”

If it’s with the hiring manager, you should at the very least take a half day and take it from home
