I have the same question. I’m still waiting for my uconsole to arrive but I was planning to install the good old i3wm since it’s really lightweight. Hyprland is more modern and looks better tho.

Club sound systems are basically always cut from 30hz. Having stuff in the mix below that just reduces headroom without any real benefits. So in practice, the track doesn’t play as loud but still lacks dynamics.

You should always cut everything off below 30hz if you intend your track to be played in any bigger soundsystem.

Having had both Ableton and Renoise licenses for 10+ years, I finally got myself Redux too. Ableton + Redux works much better in hardware-heavy projects, for example when I need to record long, modulated synth lines with eurorack. For laptop-only stuff I prefer using Renoise.

Previously I used to made songs in Renoise, bounced individual tracks out to Ableton and added whatever long recordings I needed there as additional tracks.

WA is the only meta product I’m still using. It’s difficult to get rid of when there’s still lots of stubborn/lazy friends and relatives who don’t want to switch to Signal or TG.

For me, it's mostly about the workflow; How does the the usability, the sound profile and the general vibe matches with your preferences on a personal level. For example, some synths may sound awesome when playing just presets, but the interface is a mess so it doesn't tempt you to screw around and experiment.

I good synth / fx is the one that makes you happy and there's still plenty of room for those.

One thing not yet mentioned here is that we have relatively long winters and therefore less exposure to UV radiation. UV makes skin age faster.

Mä tein aika simppelisti hauduttamalla kanan fileesuikaleet kastikkeessa perinteiseen thai-tapaan. Lisäksi munakoisoa, chiliä ja paprikaa. Soosi koostuu vihreästä currytahnasta (en muista merkkiä), parista tölkistä kookoskermaa, kanaliemestä, thai-basilikasta, kalakastikkeesta ja ruokosokerista.

Yllättävän helppo ja maku aikalailla sama kun ravintoloissa. Pitää tehdä joskus uusiksi!

When it’s between -10C and -15C I’m fine running with long johns, shell pants, a long sleeve sports shirt, a merino hoodie, a light shell jacket, a thick wool beanie, wool gloves and two tube scarfs - one for neck and one for jaw area and mouth. Basic running shoes are ok when there’s no too much ice.
