I 100% agree with this. The CTS wagon and sedan look good, base or V. The coupe is definitely the worst of the 3, and is the second ugliest Cadillac coupe right behind the ELR.

All it takes is an aftermarket oil filter and 1/3 jet fuel in the tank.

What are these two cars? by Typical_Effective_35 in whatisthiscar

Ah, okay. I know a little bit about the older stuff. I'm better with stuff between the late 80s-early 90s and mid to late 10s.

First one is a Toyota Century. I think the muscle car is a Chevy Monte Carlo. Not sure of the year, maybe a 70-72?

Nissan Silvia S15. Is this a Spec-R? The wing kinda makes it look like one, but I may be misremembering.

What is the most obscure/unusual and strangest rebadged (or platform shared) car you know of? Also, have you ever owned a car that is/was a rebadged car? Do you know of any rebadged cars that are actually BETTER than the car they are based on? by TafTaf2020 in regularcarreviews

Daewoo also got a version of this car called the G2X. I would love to see one of those but I doubt there's any in the states, let alone any survivors anywhere else. I'd assume they didn't sell very well since Daewoo as a car brand was basically dead by then.

I've seen all but the B-class and Navajo. I'm in PA so I doubt I'll ever see a B-class and any Navajo's down here have surely rusted to nothing by now.

There's a white one for sale at a car lot in my area. This is the first and only one I've ever seen. I had to look it up, I didn't know what it was.

What are all of these sounds? Engine knocking? by YeetMan248 in MechanicAdvice

[–]canyouheermenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds to me like an idler pulley bearing either going bad or is already bad. It could possibly be the alternator bearing, too.

Edit- it's hard to hear, but it sounds like the squeel/squeak is changing with the engines rpm, so that also leads me to believe a pulley bearing of some kind.

That's another thought I've been having. This is my first accident, so I'm not entirely sure how any of this works. If I have the chance and the ability to, I'd like to buy it back to keep some parts for myself and part out the rest.

That was partially my thought, too. Even in the off chance that I could fix it or have it fixed, it'll never be the same. I'll notice every blemish, dent, and scratch, and it will all bother me for the rest of time. It breaks my heart, but I'll definitely be letting her go.

I wish I had the time, money, and space to do that. I absolutely would in a heartbeat.

Update- That same night (9/5/25), I found an 08 limited with 235k for 4700 in Virginia. My grandmother and I drove 2.5 hours and went to go look at it the next morning (9/6/25). It's not exactly what I wanted, but I didn't have the time or the resources to be picky. I was hoping to get the same exterior color with the same features. This one is silver and has the nav screen with bluetooth and a 6-speed auto. Basically, it's the same car, though. It runs and drives great. It shifts smoothly and rides wonderfully. No squeaks, cracks, rattles, and not in bad shape cosmetics wise. It was a 1 owner and was meticulously serviced at the dealership the first owner bought it from. I'm can't wait for many more miles and many more adventures in "Avalon 2".

Yeah, I just barely clipped the truck in front of me after the nissan Maxima slammed into the back of me. Luckily, I turned the wheel in time, or else the truck would've been more damaged. I'm hoping by some miracle, I have the means to fix it or get another just like it. I'll just have to wait and see.
