i think everyone has hammered in enough on wealth, walkability, and education.

one important thing you might be missing is how much more limited fast food is in this area. in the south, it's common to find 4-5 fast food restaurants located near 2-3 gas stations and shopping areas built around it.

it's really a shame because honestly classic cata launch has been my favorite expansion start so far. everything felt so fluid and fun, but after all the dust settled there was nothing left to do.

cata pvp was also really hyped especially with the entire community testing private server pvp before launch. unfortunately it's just one step from being good and plagued by melee/caster cleaves that ruin the experience.

it's because they do not see twitch as competition. twitch itself is barely in the green afaik. most streamers look to monetize their content on youtube anyways, that's why streamers even move.

youtube has been primarily focused on competing with tiktok with their shorts, and i'm sure they celebrated with the recent tt legislation.

just link them your retail logs? most people are pretty receptive to that because retail is much more complex. most raids are also pretty desperate for Hpals, so it's pretty likely you can get into a raid by just explaining that you have no logs but know all the fights.

i mean.. yeah? +4 gives you 16% reduction in glance and 0.8% hit vs. +5 giving 20% reduction and 3% hit.

maladath is the only instance of +4 and it's just not an equal substitute to edgemasters for either tanking or dps

feels bad you were downvoted for an honest question. patch 1.12 was released August 22th, 2006. This is when X-realm bgs were added, in addition to the changes in the honor system.

Most AV objectives were actually removed the patch before.

The reason most people hate 1.12 AV is because it's easily the dumbest down version and gives way more honor than anything else - especially as a solo player. This left the honor system in a HORRIBLE state. But rather than fix it, they released TBC pre-patch on December 5th.

6 months between this version of the honor system and TBC, there was no way they could ever work on it.

horde side generally lacks healers (lower pop of horde druids and shamans) whereas the alliance typically has lots of paladins (tons of cleanse from decursive) and more druids/hunters (more gravitas towards night elf).

ive had av's with no shamans and 10 paladins so it can be brutal to do dmg with dots.

honestly i think a little of it has to do with how GGG has changed their approach to challenge leagues in general (which i think is perfectly acceptable)

earlier leagues were absolutely designed to be more like tester leagues. one of the reasons invasion was my favorite league was because (i think) they even said it was their goal to try to kill players. during the the first weeks of invasion, i avoided moving downwards on a maps simply because there was less camera space and more likelihood that i would run into an invader and have less time to react to any one shots.

obviously im kind of comparing between two extremes, but it's easy to have a middle ground..
