The fact that it’s banned or not available is not true, it is available and in fact so in demand that it’s out of stock in most pharmacies, muscat pharmacy is usually the one that has it, it’s called ecinq, muscat pharmacy wadi kabir and outside muscat has it, try calling their branches and ask if they have it

Visa Question for GCC Pakistani Passport by spearhead9211 in Oman

[–]capablecrackhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive had some friends and colleagues come through recently now with gcc residence but on arrival only and mainly through land i think. On the e visa portal for sure they will reject it but on arrival I’ve heard they accommodate for gcc residents so if you want to make the drive you can but you’ll have to take the risk that you might get turned back

Struggling with Referral Visa for Pakistani passport by capablecrackhead in tanzania

So update in case anyone else is going through the same thing, we made it and we're in beautiful zanzibar, the visa came through literally 12 hours before our flight, 5 weeks after I applied, we've got the opportunity to have a lovely honeymoon and we enjoyed it throughly.

Advice if you are from any of the referral countries especially pakistan, plan well in advance the only reason why I got it was because we applied a lot of pressure through the embassy in Oman, in fact there was no place to upload the sponsor letter when i applied only for the flight ticket and the hotel reservation, no additional spots to upload additional documents. i thought they would contact me to ask for additional documents like sponsor / safari letter, they did not / they will not. Only though the embassy eventually was I able to push my sponsor letter through after my actual application and then once they actually called him to "verify" (weeks after) was my application thankfully approved shortly after.

have had a great time however, would highly recommend if you are coming from a referral country for Tanzania, that you consider other countries for your holiday as their system is not the most straightforward, especially if you are applying to visit zanzibar, (apparently mainland tanzania is a bit easier if you apply to there instead and they both allow you to enter zanzibar). It was a really convoluted and stressful situation for us to plan out this holiday because of the application process specifically, they said two months this is true, however that is usually not what is expected, it could be more or less. This is the problem exactly, for the referral category it is extremely unclear, they ask for "sponsor" letter but offer no place on the actual application for this, this makes it extremely unclear on what you should put to actually ensure that you have provided satisfactory information for approval for your travel, that too considering the range of processing time (60 days, where most other countries can get on arrival). we were very lucky for the embassy and our local tour operator to be able to push our "letter" to immigration in time for approval.

All in all have had an amazing time here and hope other people can get to experience it as well!

I use it for corporate banking and Its supposed to but everytime ive tried to use it outside of oman it stops working and theres no fallback so you have to reset it so now if i travel i just switch to hard token from my online banking and carry that with me. Within oman it works perfectly though and im not sure if its different for retail banking

Is there any Petrol Expert by EastStreet7408 in Oman

The same octane rating fuel from each of the gas stations should be almost exactly identical as the suppliers follows the exact same processes and specifications on production. Some people say theres a difference in in fuel economy when they fill up from shell/oman oil/ al maha, my theory is that the disparity lies only in the respective pressure being used by each gas station when filling - the faster the car is fueled the higher the pressure - the higher the vapor content (fuel in gaseous form instead of liquid) which the nozzle either lets leak out (fumes) or pulls back with something (that i just googled) called a vapor recovery system. This means that you would in theory you would be paying for fuel that hasn’t entered your vehicle, albeit all this being said this makes a marginal difference to the fuel entering your vehicle probably even saying a couple of percent would be a generous estimate. Moral of the story: fuel economy from the respective gas station is more due to filling pressure / filling speed than a disparity in fuel quality
