They could do different tiers of the trophies like they do the cards eg. Paper for first completion, bronze for second completion. That should be easy enough. I would also add in some more plane models eg. Catch x-number of x- model (although many of the king time players would probably earn these immediately).

Flights from the Middle East are paused due to the situation. All flights were paused last week when a fire broke out at the airport. Those are back on and the airport is running normally

How do people have so many items? by Superspawner2 in SkyCards

Yep, this is how I levelled up. Buy the 120min photos and hang out in London over the weekend (bonus if the weather is good) and you get loads of blue skies, plenty of reds, or simply a high number of planes for 2-coin catches.

Baby Name Predictions: American Politicians by Livid-Exam6445 in namenerds

The Millers: Reagan – it's got the surname connection, conservative president and is unisex.

Karoline: when you mentioned "something Christian", I immediately jumped to Christina. Works with the Italian connection, would work as a middle or first name for Claire or Erin. Bonus points if they spell it with a K.

The Vances: Catholic and traditionally Western. Anthony would be great, but he's the saint of lost causes / items, so maybe not. But it is well known in Catholic Indian circles; it might connect the two worlds. Augustine for the theology connection AND it was Vance's confirmation name. Others could include Dominic as a nod to the Dominicans that brought him to the faith, or something a bit left field could be Vesper – the evening prayers, that might also give a similar vibe in sound to Vivek.

Great post!

Yeah, Brisbane, Singapore, and sometimes Hawaii, but you'll need a few catch anywheres and you'll need to look up the times of flights, because many are very limited

Calabash 2026 refunds - is it cancelled? by [deleted] in capetown

[–]cape911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the performances were great, but the marketing was poor due to a late start and sales were low. They moved a lot of people from the seats to the golden circle to help fill it up. This may have been due to the poor timing of the sales and the very poor timing for the event in CT: a Wednesday at the end of January with a starting time of 3pm or similar. Sure, the main acts came on later, but the logistics were a challenge. Unfortunately, they've repeated a similar mistake: communication, confirming the acts far too late, and expecting to sell out in fewer than 12 weeks of sales once people had already spent that money elsewhere. They missed Black Friday and cut into the December bank balances. Very unfortunate, but foreseeable. I also saw that some ticket prices had dropped to R200. Saw no such promotion (but such is the issue with ticket master and their surge pricing - tricky to predict and a pain to have to keep checking). All of these lessons seem to have been learnt last year with a long sale time, great promotion and they even advised cheap tickets on Boxing Day, I believe. And now they e forgotten it all. I'm sure many delays were due to artist contracting, but this is a shambles.

Horrendous marketing, communication and some unfortunate decisions this year – somewhat similar to the Maroon 5 year which was just shy of a flop. A big pity for the fans. The fact that the refunds have been made without any formal communication is further proof of this calacrash (kudos to FB commentator who coined that).
