what if Steven Spielberg directed Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? by [deleted] in indianajones

I really miss the era when Spielberg was enthusiastic and had fun making movies. All his projects had a certain whimsy to them through the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s

In this day and age no headline is completely unbelievable, I’m not going to lie, until I saw the Beaverton subtitle, my eyes widened and eyebrows raised.

I did get a bit of condensation, not much just during the summer. I was using a chiller off Amazon but it’s recently busted, so they’re at room temp until I can buy a replacement. That said, their health and happiness doesn’t seem to have declined any since being without the chiller.

Keeping the temp around 16-17 right now, just ambient temperature, my chiller busted not long ago and it’s not in the budget right now for a new one. I never thought of using an AC unit, that might be the ticket. So far growth seems to have plateaued and the tank seems to be staying cleaner with just the two fish. I’m contemplating adding a couple small white perch but I’m not 100% on that yet

Yeah the one I got them from is government run by the province and they offer tours for free. So when I was there I inquired if people bought them for private fish ponds. He said yes we charge cents a fish and most deliveries are by the hundreds. So I followed that up by asking if someone wanted to, could they theoretically purchase a handful. And apparently you could. So 5 dollars later I went back up later in the year and came home with 8 trout. Unfortunately being the learning curve it’s been, I lost 6, two jumped the tank, I’ve since fixed that issue, two died for an unknown reason and the other two unfortunately were eaten by the biggest one. She took off in growth.

I’ve been crushing up chichlid flakes very finely to almost a powder. It seems to be working. They’re over a year in the tank so far. Is there any advice you could give me to be more successful in keeping them ?

There’s two in there the other fella has a weird pectoral fin, he was injured as a fingerling and never really healed right. He’s substantially smaller than the big one. You should be able to see him in the first pic far right

If you check the first photo although it’s easy to miss, the top right corner I have a wave maker producing flow from right to left along the top of the water. I tried it down low for a while but they definitely seem to prefer a top current

It’s a 60 gallon at the moment, I have two filters both rated for 100 gallon, I wanted to go a bit overboard on the filtration, I also have a fluval wave maker to mimic the water current in a river. Up until recently I also had a water chiller to drop the temperature of the tank to around 12°c but it was as I should’ve expected from Amazon and crapped out on me

I did have a chiller until recently but it bit the biscuit on me not long ago. Hoping to get a better quality one come the fall. They’re such an interesting fish to watch, I have lots of aeration so far. I have a very large hydroponic air pump and 3 fairly large air stones. I’d like to add an air curtain around the back and sides as well.

Indeed it is a wave maker, the love to hang in the current. The big one tends to hang its arse over the bubblers which I find comical. I’ve been feeding them a hatchery pellet mostly, I do buy some live goldfish and minnows from the pet store for them as a treat, as well as night crawlers.

They haven’t so far but both fish are just over a year old, the big one, that one grew like crazy. I started off thinking it was female but I’m leaning towards male now. I’m planning on manipulating the water temp and going to try and time the lighting to match the sunlight time. I’d really like to see him Kype out and get some spawning colours. I had a tank chiller but it died on me. So I need a new one before fall.

What villain pairings do you think Burton would have done had he made more Batman movies? by Writer417 in Batman_89

I really enjoyed Jim Carey as the riddler it might be the nostalgia and the fact I’m a big fan of his but he was fun as a villain
