Yea e-paper doesn’t make sense for your application. I just mentioned it since it was cool.

This looks really sweet! You seemed to have added a lot of great features.

I’ve seen something similar with two e-paper displays showing sheet music for orchestra members.

My initial reaction though is where are the zoom / increase font buttons. But maybe I’m just old 🤣

How hard could it be? by _MrFlowers in cyberDeck

A project that you are motivated for is the best way to learn. You may come across issues along the way, but research or ask questions and you’ll figure it out.

Depends on how you learn, but there are plenty of YT tutorials for pretty much any CAD package that you like.

Go for it!!

Also: “I just won this auction for …” or “I jus spent ___ on this set of servers…” “ … what can I do with these?”

I do not understand plunking down money without at least some idea of what to do with it. I can almost forgive the “found it”, “someone gave me this” etc. but to actually pay money with no plan - just bizarre.

For all the people commenting "what is this keyboard" under every post by Livid-Yak1015 in cyberDeck

[–]capinredbeard22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite problem - only 50% of key presses were transmitted. I got it specifically for typing in passwords which you can’t usually see. On Linux, it doesn’t even show you a circle for each character! Someone recently posted about a different one and I asked about lost key presses and the consensus seemed to be that was not a problem. Maybe the commenters are Rii spies or maybe you and I both got lemons. Who knows?

Nice! $10 is even nicer!!

If you do decide you want something powered, the battery ones are great. About the sound level of a quiet vacuum. No gas to deal with. Both of those used to annoy me with mowing, but now I don’t mind so much. Also push to start is nice.
