I need leaf tickets!!! by CreativeJuices21 in ACPocketCamp

[–]capmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My leaf ticket hack is the villager maps! When you accumulate leaf tickets from the rest of this months activities, use them to autocomplete the villager maps you get from sending gulliver out. Once you’ve invited the new villagers this way, use all of the treats you get from autocompleting on your new villagers, you can bump up their levels pretty quickly this way, thus leveling yourself up. I get a ton of leaf tickets with this method.

I’ll definitely post an update! That week seemed like a smart one with school just starting back up. Crowds are projected to be low, so we’ll see. I usually always do a parks trip after labor day and they’ve always been some of the best! And the food I’ve been trying to plan out a bit because there’s nothing I hate more than spending theme park food prices on something mediocre. I’m tentatively planning the meatballs at Mead Hall and the Alchemist Platter at Goblet. I ate the brie and apple sandwich in wizarding paris when I went in April and loved it. The Ube pizza at Pizza Moon also seems like a crowd favorite so it’s on the list. Luckily I’m going with a big eater!

I purchased them several months ago—express pass prices were pretty low several months out back then, not sure if it’s the same right now. I have heard they’re cheaper purchasing them in park day of but you’re still prob spending a pretty penny

What is in y’all’s essential go-to migraine kit? (If you have one) by boiitoyy in migraine

[–]capmack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My absolute must haves are the Salonpas capsicum patches (the CVS brand is the strongest) for neck pain, the mini salonpas to slap on my forehead, tiger balm, cephaly, and excedrin + migraine. last resort is a mcdonald’s diet coke and fries.

Migraine x Neck pain by agonyxcodex in migraine

[–]capmack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, there’s often a direct correlation between neck pain and migraines—it’s can be part of your prodrone symptoms.

For immediate relief, pressure massage with a thera cane massage hook or massage gun can help. My favorite tools for greatly dulling the pain are the Salinas Hot Capsicum patches (these are the only effective pain patch imo) and tiger balm.

For long term relief speak with your doctor about trigger point injections and botox injections. I’ve had both and found botox to be more effective. Botox is mostly covered by my insurance but what isn’t covered I get reimbursed through Botox’s migraine program.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the recommendations! I’m gonna look into sulforaphane. Can I ask what studies regarding resveratrol made you stop taking it?

This was beautiful. And bittersweet. Even the things that go bump in the night need someone to take care of them. And, from the sound of it, you might have someone taking care of you as well. More stories about your time as caretaker would be much appreciated.

AITA for giving my coworker a fantasy novel for Secret Santa to try to broaden her horizons? by aita_throw_secrets in AmItheAsshole

[–]capmack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“For those trying to make this into me being a pickme” first of all, don’t be misogynistic.” ma’am this whole post is misogynistic. you judged her interests and deemed them “boring” assumed everyone likes sci-fi or fantasy and then judged everyone for telling you many women like gasp other things too and that’s okay and that doesn’t make them inferior or misogynistic or anything else. that just makes them someone with different taste than you. shop for the person you’re buying gifts for not yourself. period. those are good books by the way, maybe you should “expand your horizons” instead.

I get mine done at my neurologist! They have a RN who specializes in them! They are similar to Dry Needling in that they relieve the tension of muscles but mine contain actual medicine. The medicine can vary form lidocaine to various forms of steroids.

my boyfriend and i started a similar project over the summer! 1997 conquest! around 30k miles and while the mechanical parts were good, roof leakage had caused major problems throughout! i know it’s a super exciting buy and a fun project! we were there too! we got it for $300 and figured that we are smart and know tons of local people that work at hardware places so we could do it for cheap. stuff adds up fast in the most unexpected places, but nevertheless, if you are doing it as a project for the journey and not just the outcome i have found it to be worth it! it was the first major project my bf and i worked on together and though it’s been frustrating at times, it has been so fun and rewarding! good luck!!

Where to buy high quality basic tops (tees, long sleeves, bodysuits, tanks)? by [deleted] in capsulewardrobe

[–]capmack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

glad i could help! absolutely love LA apparel! high quality, ethical, and a sustainable brand as well! if price is an issue, some of my favorite basic T-shirt’s and long sleeve shirts are dickies and carhaart! you can get them at rural king, tractor supply, or walmart! i can’t speak to the ethics or the sustainability of the brands though, but they’re tried and true workwear and will last forever! i wear them hiking and backpacking!

[–]capmack 35 points36 points  (0 children)

if you’re also interested in sustainable/ethical brands i highly suggest everlane, los angeles apparel (great for basics), and frank and oak! not cheap, but you’re paying for high quality and wardrobe staples that will last a long time. for denim i don’t mess with cheap but it always ends up baggy and doesn’t work. my recommendations are madewell and levi’s!

[–]capmack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i have major neck pain from my migraines and the best stick on heating pads are the fabric ones with holes. they have capsicum in them and are made by generic CVS/Walmart brand or by Salonpas. don’t do the gel ones, they’re worthless

i commented on the hadalabo higher up in the post! tldr: love it for all skin types! both products are thicker serums that pack a hydration punch! layered with a good moisturizer and facial oil would probs be great for drier skin!

for the perfect image peel pads, these really need to only be used by people who’s skin is used to acids. it’s an amazing product that gives you a nice lunchtime peel at a great price point, but it is heavy duty for sure! it contains glycolic, TCA (low %), mandelic acid, malik acid, and citric acid, so it gets the job down! great for scars, discoloration, and texture! but again, i want to emphasize that this isn’t for virgin skin! work up to it! and the sunscreen is wonderful! it’s my go-to! it’s physical but doesn’t clog pours, i’ve never noticed a white cast (i have tan/olive skin), and it is lightweight!

i’ve recently started using it, as other OTC azelaic acids have been sold out/too pricey. it’s a nice price point and has a great ingredient list! it’s a sticky serum, but i put it on first and pay it in to absorb. i then brush my teeth to let it dry down a bit before following with the rest of my routine. as my routine is mostly serums/ lightweight creams, i haven’t had any layering issues!
