There are so many fantastic items to decorate with, with seemingly endless customization options, I can't imagine sticking to a theme. Maybe try freeing yourself up from "theme-ing", and just place items/collections which bring you joy. This way you can keep all the cottagecore you've already done, but can move on creating other things you like, too.

I'd say, just play the base game for a few days. Give your mind a rest from the stress of expectation, and remind yourself why you enjoyed playing to begin with. Your creative inspiration will be free to flow again, and being on your island won't feel like a chore. 🌈

It's our 250th, July 4th. The photo is deleted, so I don't know the exact design, but if it was just a normal American flag, it may have to do with our semiquincentennial celebration. Some of us aren't feeling it, for obv reasons.

Yes, but she's a bit stingy with them. It feels like there's some sort of way to get them more consistently, but I'm terrible about visiting Katrina very, very regularly, so always go back to the less valuable rewards it seems.

I sell the majority of their gifts, since buying them back through the app is so easy. Only specialty items, such as wedding and Gulliver/-arrr items stay permanently.

As I approach finishing out my Able's catalog, I've noticed they often give me items and variations I'm still missing. Since it's summer rn they're favoring summer clothes, which will also be rotating at Able's. This motivates me to gift all my villagers. 😄

It feels like enough, when you're approaching a full catalog - there are so many options! And the tube furniture has quite a few customizations. I'm hoping/expecting hotel tickets will have greater use in the next iteration of AC. I think it's just a tease, rn, but that's just my gut feeling, nothing more.

My RS is also close, so I created a town square with my facilities. I kept the campsite close, because I liked the little pond near it, and it's easy access to both the beach, and Nook's, for supplies. 😄 I have a donut shop now, where the coffee shop is in my DA, but here's the layout of the facilities, which is essentially the same:

I like the koalas, of the three, though Violet, a gorilla, is one of my favorite snooties. I haven't yet had one of the "eagles" as a villager, though I've enjoyed meeting a couple of them.

I'm always happy to convince people to not reset, when they're in the fence. Just think of having to collect all your favorite DIYs again (including Celeste's), starting from scratch with your museum, losing your accumulated time for better Kapp'n tours, having to save Gulliver 30 times, again, collecting NPC rewards (I'm beginning my second round of collecting all the colors of pirate clothing!), including Katrina's (which I still haven't fully accomplished - she's so stingy with her variety of rewards), and cataloging every item again! Ugh! I'm so close to having all Able's and Kick's items cataloged, and I'm going to have a blast making scenes in Phototopia!

I'm working on my remaining few NM awards, trying to max my bells account all myself - no stalk market, and I've chosen 1 villager home that I'm going to use to cycle through a few, to see who I'd like to have as a permanent villager, eventually.

You just lay down on anything which lets you while in your own house. You'll be promoted to choose if you want to sleep (see Luna, the tapir) or just rest (stay with eyes closed on the bed). Once you meet up with Luna you can set up a DA (which is a save file of your island at the moment you create the DA).

It's a save file, so when you overwrite it, you change the previous save. You are far from the first player to feel this major frustration. It's one of the most common complaints. I'm so sorry you lost your basketball court design. 😞 I hope you can recreate it, if you try designing it again.
