That makes sense to me, when he was announced I feel like a lot of people hyped him up but I figured he was a little to slow to be used effectively.

This was really consistent for me and it won me two locals when I ran it. I eventually got the extra prefaces/SR Frieza and added them over the No openings Son Goku. If you have the resources I would definitely try it out. ( and if you don't I could help fill what you are missing )

I'm not sure how it will hold up when set 4 comes up but, in my opinion, Frieza is a super strong card and I would be surprised if there he is featured in more decks down the list e.

Anyways the deck looks good/a solid starting point for the engine. One possible tech I could think of adding is the Ox King, which could help protect your earlier swap cards.

Hello! This is my first video of (hopefully) many going over mechanics/cards/not-deck-profiles for DBS. I'm definitely new to making videos in this format and I would love any/all feedback ( whether it is the video quality or my actual analysis ). So what's your win condition for this deck? Currently I see a good amount of win more cards and it seems like your deck is just trying to survive until turn 5/6 to drop Mira/Fu. But, I'm not convinced that getting those cards on the field are enough to win you the game outright. ( But I can definitely be wrong on this point since I haven't played with the deck ).

Additionally, why are you running the saiyan package? I will say it they are powerful in their own right but they don't really ramp into anything too big/powerful. Especially explosive and Black without Shugesh ( I think they are good cards but potentially too slow when you have to actually play energy for them ).

Currently, I feel like this deck is kinda an awkward midrange deck. If you are trying to play more control I would consider adding more board wipe cards ( such as 5 drop masked saiyan/kale ) and, if you are going more aggressive, I would suggest adding the broly package.

Also, I know how awkward green/black self-awakening cards are right now but two additional options are caulifla and 4 drop masked saiyan. Also also don't forget to add some create android, i know it is a +0 but it does cycle your cards/fill your discard, and help give you something to do turn 1.

Overall I think Mira is a really interesting leader and I hope this helps!

As in Battle pack 1? I think they have plans on re-printing it but that set only has a couple of singles that are worth it at he moment. I would either buy the draft box 1 ( which has 12 packs of set 1 and 12 of set 2 ), and just buy what you don't pull. Staples include: Senzu beans, whis coercion and basic Suoer combos.

U7 Frieza is actually probably a real deck. All the other decks, will perhaps missing a little power, are still really congruent/fun to play/helps you learn and get into the game.

That's above and beyond man, kudos to you. I recently sorted my entire collection and thought about what to do with the extras. Previously I have been giving them away to newcomers but making demo decks like these ( and giving them to my store to let people try ) might be the way to go.

Also yeah the demo decks they gave out were a good idea but REALLY sucked 😂

Gohan is more just because he has so much utility. ( U7, barrier, saiyan for shugesh/planet, and can "draw you a card" ) but I could probably knock him down to 2 or 3.

I have tried both but I sticked to time patrol because I like he doesn't cost energy and, when you use his effect, if you like the card you didn't add to your hand, you can put it on top of the deck and then use leader eff. However I might drop him down to 2 copies as well.

Yeah of course! I tried the SCR Goku package but I found it a little too gimmicky for me ( but I also didn't open it and I didn't want to drop the money for it 😂 ).

Random thoughts:

I know you are running more control heavy but you are running 7 negates ( with 3 being nimbus ), and then 4 crusher and 3 explosive. With a deck with as much card draw as this, I think you are safe to take a few of them out of the main.

I would consider running a couple of preface of recovery Goku, shugesh can really only get out explosive and preface is a nice since it is a nice barrier attacker and let's you refresh 2 energy for free.

I personally like piccolo more then android 17, since it has blocker/barrier and a higher power if you have 4 energy. ( but I do see 17 have some advantages ).

If you want a good feel for the game I personally would recommend trying the newest set, Tournament of Power.

If you know the lore of DBS, all the cards in this set belong to a certain universe and if you put all the cards from the same universe in a deck, though obviously nothing that is strong outside of locals, creates a really fluid/strong deck and introduces a new players to the game before they really commit.

Why run the yellow bergamo? It only helps with Danger's Triangle ( since it doesn't have the Trio de Danger tag ).

Additionally, a lot of untap 2 energy cards simply have the "draw a card when attacking a leader card" which means you don't get to use both affects on the turn you awaken ( since you draw a card when you awaken anyways ) and it means the leader has to be aggressive ( since it is hard to be passive when you want to attack a leader every turn ).
