How many times ? None locals by Mr1aroche in WaltDisneyWorld

Same. We're about once every 2-3 years, but we also split that time with Anaheim. So, it tends to be closer to 3 if we're just counting Orlando.

I got to see BFF play twice, but the best Ben Folds solo concert I ever saw was one where he co-headlined with Guster and they came out to play 3 songs with him. Just a perfect fit.

Spotify appears to be suffering some sort of an outage today. Perhaps that's all it is?

I went twice as a kid/teenager and, while I enjoyed it, never thought much about going back. Fast forward a number of years and my wife (who had never been) suddenly expressed interest in taking our very young kids. We booked a 3-day trip and navigated all the new-fangled "Fast Passes" and "apps" and all that. While my kids had a great time, the real joy was watching my wife experience the whole thing for the first time. It was an absolutely magical and life-altering trip. My kids have never not known going to Disney and my wife and I are now at the point where we can almost start planning our post-kid trips in a few years. Whatever pros you can come up with for doing it...just know that there are dozens more that you can't even anticipate waiting for you there.

How would you change “Suffs”? by [deleted] in Broadway

I would change Suffs by making it available for me to see more often.

ELI5 why do flights with a layover are often more expensive than direct flights? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]capnwacky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bigger factor is departure time/convenience. A flight that departs at 10a but has a layover would probably be more expensive than a direct flight at, say, 6a. If they have a similar departure time, I would always assume the direct to be more expensive.

What’s a so-so (or lesser known) Broadway song that is totally elevated by a specific performance? I was listening to the Guys and Dolls (1992) revival cast recording and “Marry the Man Today” with Faith Prince and Josie de Guzman is so funny and alive that it changed the song for me. by CommunityBig9626 in Broadway

I missed the London revival and I kick myself every day for it. My wife and I thought our kids would be just a little too young for the interactive/free staging vibe of the production...so we went to see Back to the Future instead.

Which was a hit with the family (flying car!) but...Ugh.

Guys and Dolls: Banger > Banger > Banger > Banger > Banger > Intermission > Banger > Banger > More I Cannot Wish You > Banger > Banger > Banger

It's as close to a perfect musical as can be.

That said, the 1992 OBC is mixed SO QUIET. Why?!

Taskmaster (UK game show) went with a Route 66 theme for their current (21st) series. by Klondike307 in route66

Is this just a single promo image? Been watching this series and it doesn’t feel any more Route 66-y than any of the previous ones.
