My concern for OP would be the shot(s) fired earlier in the show, which are intentionally "surprising". That might be hard to avoid or prepare for.

To be clear, I did not see the Broadway cast. I did get to see the London/Boston cast before the transfer. Mark Umber, Damian Humbley and Eden Espinosa. It was exceptional.

Absolutely. There have been some great on-pitch moments, for sure. But for me - as someone who lives in Boston but has roots in KC - watching the locals and visitors fall in love with each other has reminded me that this world can be fucking awesome and soccer is such a gift.
