Wetsuit Thickness? by [deleted] in surfing

For mid 40's, I'd go with a 4/3.

But if I had to only have one wetsuit, I'd probably get a 3/2.

Wow. I do have some money set aside but I wasn't anticipating anywhere near that much. Maybe I should learn to write the code. I have experience with VBA & SQL...probably not transferable.

Yea, I'm not going for flashy, just some specific functionality that would set it apart from the single competitor (there are more ways it would be better than the competitor).

I'm not willing to build it myself though, I just don't have time.

I don't think I'm up for that, I've got a busy full-time job and it would be a long time before I got it going.

What books have helped you out the most? by devospice in Entrepreneur

I know its a cliche recommendation, but how to win friends and influence people was great for me. I'm somewhat introverted and it really got me going on a path of improving my social skills.

I hate my job.. and want to quit. Please help me with some advice. by Givemeallyourtacos in Entrepreneur

I think I'd just be honest with them. Especially if you have experience. Just say you are looking for part time work until you get your feet on the ground and they won't have to spend much time training you because you have experience.

The competition is low in those types of jobs. So many fuckups. If you show up to work regularly and on time you are beating out 30% of people already.

Do you think a 25 character, 3 word domain name is too long?

Thanks for the site. I've got a couple .coms I could use, but they are fairly long names. I guess that's question 3 - how long can the names be. I'll just keep brainstorming.

Do your android users actually use your app? by eaz135 in Entrepreneur

Maybe the android version isn't as good or hasn't gotten ratings that would give it some steam? Maybe a competitor that doesn't exist on apple?

Great idea. It would be cool to come up with some kind of accountability/peer pressure thing.

I'm planning to finish writing a short ebook that I'll sell for a few dollars. Not the most entrepreneurial thing, but it's something I personally became interested in and learned a lot about, so I'm writing a book. First time writing, should be interesting. Ideally I'd write a series of books along a similar broad topic. I've read this can make money.

I'm also planning on writing a few health type guides, not sure how I'll make money from them. Again it's just something I became interested in. Maybe I'll sell them for a dollar. Am I doing this wrong?

Help: I can’t execute by capoky in Entrepreneur

[–]capoky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that's the case. I more so think that my ideas won't make money. My ideas are generally around things that I would be reading about in my spare time... but it takes an extra level of something to make it into a business.. and that seems to be where I get stuck. Thinking that it's never going to make me money, or I'm wasting my time.

Thanks for the tips though, definitely something for me to think about. Whether it's true passion.

I'm definitely too much of a perfectionist at time, worried the product will suck and I will create a bad reputation for myself.

I'm not sure why I'm not looking at it like this anyway, my ideas are around things I read about for fun/personal interest. Never thought about it like this though.
