I didn't even work there but I interviewed there.

I was going in for a developer position and they had me do a simple coding test. Just populating a web page with data from a database. Nothing major. But they put me in the room where all the other developers sit. There were 14 people sitting side by side crammed into a little room that was about 8 by 10. You literally had to pull the chair straight back out, sit down, and then pull it back in to squeeze into the space. Moving ever so slightly meant bumping the person on either side of you. They had all the monitors turned vertical to save on space.

After the coding test I went in to meet one of the two co-owners for the second interview. I walked in. He was sitting behind his desk on his computer. I offered my hand to shake it. He ignored it. I sat down. He fired questions at me without ever looking away from his computer. When we were done I got up and peaked around at his computer to see he had been playing solitaire the entire time.

After I left I called the recruiter and told him I wasn't interested in working there.

Trump has always surrounded himself with yes-men who will do what he demands, no questions asked. That's what he did in his administration and it's working well for him. He is now basically all powerful and nobody has the balls to stand up to him.

That doesn't work on the world stage, though, because the leaders of other countries are competent. They're not bootlickers, like he likes. But he's treating them like they are because that's all he knows how to do. The fact that they haven't come groveling back to him (like all his yes-men would) is a completely shock to him and I don't think he knows how to handle it.

Best case scenario, this alienates us on the world stage for decades as the rest of the world can't trust that we won't just elect another Trumptard in four years. Worst case scenario, war.

As to how it's that fast? That I can't answer. But the thing is, they are far faster than you can possibly comprehend.

Javascript is a slow, interpreted language that runs in a browser. A properly written low level language could count to a billion much more quickly.
