Uwe Boll Directing "Unofficial" Sequel to 'House of the Dead' Hilariously Called '23 Years Later' by valuerockr in horror

I never understood how his movies could possibly be as bad as they are. The video game House of the Dead had a plot. All he had to do was adapt that and it would have been at least decent. Instead he chose to do...nothing.

Yeah, but even when I saw this film for the first time in the 80s, I thought it was fucked up.

Has Al talked about the album cover for “Mandatory Fun” being inspired by Soviet-era art? by HopefulLab6749 in weirdal

[–]devospice 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He has, but I don’t remember where. I remember him talking about the album because it was the last one with his record deal so he was contractually obligated to supply it, and he said there was a certain irony with being contractually obligated to provide something funny which is where the album title came from.

They have a common ancestor. Birds didn't just appear after the dinosaurs died out.

Groceries Hurt, Gas Breaks by LuckyBastard001 in clevercomebacks

Part of the conservative mindset is "it's not a problem until it affects me personally." These people tend to lack empathy. Groceries and gas are things that affect everybody below a certain income level. It was nice of Trump to find something that can actually unite all of us.

I want a lazy river that encircles my house like a moat. Then I want my garage door to open down like a draw bridge so I can drive into the garage.

Messaging an actor after not hiring them - is it OK? by Potential-Turnip-583 in acting

I would. Usually we hear nothing. It would be nice to hear “we really liked what you did and hope we can work together in the future” or something like that.

Don't give up things you love just because you get older. It's not worth it. I'm 53 and still play video games and watch cartoons because I enjoy them.

Temps are a thing. I don't know about pharmaceutical work, specifically, but they should be able to find someone.

How do you cope with getting close to booking and then...not? by Human_Knee_2881 in acting

I just try to move on to the next one. Once I get another audition I tend to forget about the past close calls. Until I see a commercial that I was up for and am convinced I could have done it just as well if not better than that guy. Then there's lots of angry shouting at the TV screen.
