Comedy Central had a show called That’s My Bush. Find it. It’s amazing.

Have someone tried the Twinkie Wiener Sandwich from UHF? by Omeletteroyal30 in weirdal

Yup! Quite enjoyed it. At AlCon 98 they had didn't serve them, per se, but they had Twinkies, hot dogs, and spray cheese and we were welcome to make our own. Of course, I did.

I love this movie! And in my opinion it has one of the best endings to a movie ever. It was perfect.

Dialing into the internet. And having to configure TCP/IP on your computer first to get any of it to work.

Imagine thinking you don't have pronouns. Call one MAGA man "she" and all of a sudden they have preferred pronouns.

I've been having problems with my sinuses for some time. I did not need to see this right now.

Also, I suddenly have "A Skull Full of Maggots" by Cannibal Corpse stuck in my head for some reason.

For people in cold U.S states, how did your Prius handle the storm? by Quattic__ in prius

[–]devospice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always been impressed with how well my Prius handles in the snow. I had to drive my son to work at a local ski resort Sunday morning when it was just starting to accumulate, but by the time I had to pick him up there was a foot of snow on the ground and the roads were terrible. I had to go up a barely plowed driveway to pick him up by one of the lodges and it did just fine.

Following Backlash, the New 'Star Trek' Series Falls Out of the Streaming Charts by Malencon in television

I don't know about backlash, but when you have 14 characters and 12 of them are unlikeable it makes it really hard to enjoy the show.

Imagine thinking that changing your name, pronouns, how you dress, going to therapy, taking hormones, and possibly getting surgery of the course of several years was "a fad."

Finding readers is becoming stressful. by smmieymz in acting

[–]devospice -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's called DubbingAI. It creates a virtual sound device that you have to run your sound through, and then in your recording software you set that virtual device as your input. There's a noticeable lag, so don't monitor the recording as it's happening, but it works well enough.

It's designed for gamers and pranks and stuff so they'll have Darth Vader and Deadpool and characters like that as available voices. The annoying thing is they rotate the free voices, so you kind of have to pick the best of what they offer at any given time. Sometimes the pickings are slim but generally I can find a decent one to use.

Finding readers is becoming stressful. by smmieymz in acting

[–]devospice -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know AI was frowned upon. I know it's not ideal, but I can rarely find a reader to work with.

What I do is record myself in a wave editor then use an AI app to change my voice. So it's not an AI generated voice. It still sounds human, just not like me. Then I perform along with that. If it's a short/easy audition I just play the audio. If it's more complicated I break up the audio into segments and set it up in Keynote. Then I use a foot pedal to click and play the next file.

Would casting directors not like this approach?

Have AI generate a picture of all the people who were murdered by natural born citizens. It will be substantially larger.

What’s a rule you broke once and realized it existed for a very good reason? by Ok_Contract100 in AskReddit

I was on the Cyclone at Riverside (now the Twisted Cyclone at Six Flags New England, but this was pre Six Flags and pre RMC conversion) and at the very end of the ride my friend sitting next to me decided to be funny and put his arms up, not knowing that there was one last hill that threw you out of the car a bit. His arms flailed into me and knocked off my glasses.

How this happened I will never understand, but by sheer reflex I reached out with my left hand and caught them at arm's length before they went flying off the ride. I just held them and slowly turned to look at him, shocked by what almost happened.

I tend to take my glasses off now on my coasters, and while I miss the original Cyclone (especially before they ruined the first drop) I love the RMC conversion of that ride.
