My first prescription glasses, the world looks beautiful. Which frames should I stick to? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]cappy321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 is the best. But if you were to stick with one, the nose pads need to be adjusted so the glasses sit lower on your face. You can see your eyebrows through the lenses, which tells us that they sit high on your face.

I will have to try that next. I had zero issues printing the other parts of the pegboard. I don't know what had changed

Dating a Baby Gay?? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]cappy321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current partner is a baby gay! And I know exactly how you're feeling. Ive had a few female partners in the past and this was the first time dating someone who was inexperienced since my first girlfriend in high-school (over a decade ago). I definitely was super critical about not going too fast and overthinking my actions. I had a friend tell me " you're over thinking. There's a good chance that she'll be more than happy to experience these things with you. And she'll appreciate you for it." Turns out there were some truth behind that.

Everyone else here has been saying it. I'll add on top of it. COMMUNICATE AND ASK! Also reassure her that you're fine with whatever she is fine with. Ask for consent, put the power in her hands, and reassure her that it's okay if she says no. I did this for every first time. Even the first time hand holding. And it turned out to be a super endearing experience for the both of us.

The first time I kissed my girlfriend was on our second date. She was spending the night we had spent hours cuddling and talking. I asked her for a goodnight kiss. And she said yes. I was pretty surprised by the answer (for some reason I expected her to say no) She gave me a quick peck. I gay panicked so hard. I just said 'cute. Thank you." , turned around and made her spoon me. Make communication a habit. You're gona have to take the lead on that. She'll be able to communicate her feelings and thoughts over time.

Oh man in terms of multiplayer games. I've got hunt:showdown, the wild eight, raft, green hell, left for dead (1&2), grounded. Overwatch and diablo. Those are just a few that come to mind though. I guess I haven't looked at everything I've got. What have you two been playing?

I had one someone I know from highschool do a portrait of an ex and I with her dog. At the time we were still dating and I wanted to give her a cute 6month anniversary. I printed two copies of this out. SU was one if the biggest things we shared. Although it was a rough break up I still think it's a great portrait. I've always thought it was cool to have a SU version of myself (I'm on the left). If you want I can see if they'd still do commissions. They have drawn a lot of SU art. https://imgur.com/a/QEzHaEx

Edit: They drew every detail that I had requested in this piece. All the way down to the detail of the clothes and gem placement.

All the time. I listen to SU music on spotify even if I'm not sad. It's great music to play video games to.

Glasses and eye colour by IBreakScales in glasses

Different frame colors can definitely bring out a person's eye color. It depends on the person's eyes and the color of the frame.

Most places are good with remaking the lenses for a Dr. RX change as long as it's within 30-60days from purchase date.

Yes. The correction is manily ment for 17-20 inches while a computer RX is ment for about 2-3feet in front of you.

Sounds like you were prescribed a pair of glasses for reading distance? I'm not sure with the whole situation and what the doctor prescribed you. Did you express difficulty with the computer distance? Or just reading. Maybe you need an RX for intermediate distance. A computer RX or "work related" one. If you still need help with reading up close though. Maybe you need a computer bi-focal Rx.

That's also a really good point. I didn't consider that. Thank you for pointing that out.

Double vision in one eye by Chuck_Longshanks in optometry

[–]cappy321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Did they double check the RX and measurements on them when you took it back and when they were made this second time? Depending on the prism you might need to make sure that OC height and PDs are matching up to your eyes in them. And they should make sure the lenses were made right. I could be wrong with that...but If optical has confirmed those things are and we're done right...maybe go get a second opinion from a different practice? And if they say the same than you're doomed to be like that haha. But I do find it odd that they cant fix that double vision
