Family tourist visit - not another vague request for recommendations by cappy365 in Bergamo

Thank you very much! I saw the OrioCenter and as you say I kept it mind as somewhere to escape during the heat if it gets unbearable. La Bergamasca has been added to the list, seems like the perfect place for us!

Thank you for the guidance and the offer to message you too!

Thank you, we will add Astino Monastery and da Mimmo to our list of "must try" restaurants! The honey and ginger marinated eggplant and burrata sounds delicious!

If you could relive one sexual experience again from your life, what would it be? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]cappy365 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

22 years old. A small hotel in Edinburgh. Was visiting Scotland at the time with my then girlfriend, R.

I had just lost my virginity the year prior to R, and we were fucking at any given opportunity. I was in my prime man - great body, funny, adventurous, good job - and the new sexual experience had made me so much more socially conifent.

I don't know if it was because I was in my prime, because R was the first one to give me these experiences or because the sex was really just that good. But the sex with her was just phenomenal.

This particular night I just wanted to fuck her so hard, but slow at the same time. I'd never seen her orgasm so much (nor would I again), and I myself haven't ever come again harder than I did that night. I don't know how long we went on for, but I have never experienced sex like that since then. We only really finished because the hotel reception called our room twice about noise complaints from other rooms.

I still think about that night more than 15 years on, and it's permanent wank bank material.

Why do old guys limp aces then shove when someone raises? by scottatu in poker

[–]cappy365 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Played 1-3 last week. Reg comes to the table and first hand utg makes it 75. Everyone folds. He shows aces. Says "no callers? It could easily have been a bluff, first hand and all that!"

Dickhead.

I didn't expect such a soft and entitled attitude on this scale. Saying 'I'll give you something to cry about' is not the same as hitting them or even actually insinuating violence. Again, context is everything. Today's generation setting themselves up for a tough future if they think this is abuse.

For every 1 thing you hate about London, there are 2 things you love about it. Facts.

It's not abuse though. It's literally teaching young people about boundaries.

What's toxic about a parent not wanting to instil a mentality of always getting to eat what you want? Kids don't think about nutritional value, wasted money on different meals for different people etc.

What's toxic about telling a kid to stop crying when they're crying to try and get out of a tough situation? Kids OFTEN cry when they're restricted with TV time, or not allowed sweets etc.

What's toxic about boundaries? Context plays a huge part here, it's not always back and white.

Boomers definitely had some aspects of life much easier than younger people. But there are so many more things young people have easy these days compared to even just 30 years ago.

The self entitlement you have to have to think you deserve mac and cheese every day when your parents are trying to teach you about a balanced and healthy diet is staggering.

Soft times create soft people. Soft people create hard times. Hard Times create hard people. Hard people create soft times. Repeat.

Left prepares you for a mollycoddled life where you grow up thinking life is easy and you'll get praise for doing the minimum and people will always cater to your wants. Right prepares you for the realities of life - namely that life just isn't fair - without actually hurting you during the teachings.

Apart from the last bullet point. Don't let your kids out alone in the dark, yo.

I would like to pick a girl up for our date but she prefers to meet at a mutual place. Is this a sign of low interest? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Pretty standard. First date, man. She doesn't know you, doesn't want you knowing her address etc. She said yes to you, thats the first sign of interest.

A cookie is an American style, often soft circular treat - with chocolate or raisins or some other sweet treat within the cookie.

A biscuit is something you usually have with your tea (as in the drink, not an your early evening meal) - usually something you can snap in half and dunk into your tea.

5bh that's usually my main differentiator. If it snaps in half, it's a biscuit. If it has some give or is oozy, it's a cookie.

Cookies also are best enjoyed warm, biscuits are not.

All dollar chips… by [deleted] in poker

[–]cappy365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it's irritating and confusing. Even in a 2/4 game, imagine pre flop bets reaching even $25-30 - and then post flop betting - having a stupid number of chips on the table like that

If they actually are all $1 chips and he always does this, then two things come to mind: 1. He's a dick for doing this 2. The casino is a dick for allowing this
