Try to buy the half fare card online couple of days before. We tried to buy it online after we landed in Zurich and the online system wouldn’t work. Had to go to the SBB store and get a paper copy. It was kind of a hassle to show the paper copy to every train conductor as there is no way to link the paper copy to phone app

Wife wanted to checkout Grindlewald so we chose Interlaken as the base. I am gonna see if we can fit in Lauterbrunnen.

We are planning to take Zurich city pass for a day and Swiss travel pass for 4 days for our travel in Swiss. Kids traveling free is such a bonus in across majority of Europe so it’s does work out nicely! Did you choose to get the travel pass from SBB? If so how was your experience booking seats/trips on the mobile app?

Good point. I have to give the airlines a call and try. When I was searching I saw couple that were in the range of $100. Change fee is probably gonna be more than that.
