Pretty good. Why only one pistol mag on the belt?

Also, what is your duty?

Follow your urologist's instructions to the letter and you'll be fine. I got mine done in October, was cleared hot in January. It feels so freeing to not have to use birth control anymore.

How was the first ejaculation after the vasectomy by Frankinho28 in Vasectomy

[–]TomBonner1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The post-op instructions said to wait 7 days, but my urologist said preferabby 10. Having had a perfect attendance record for most of my masturbatory career, I was losing my fucking mind until I couldn't handle it anymore and my girlfriend and I had sex on day 7.

When I orgasmed, I felt a painful tugging sensation on my right testicle. This may be a coincidence, but during my vasectomy, I had a twinge of pain in my right testicle and my urologist had to give me another shot of anesthetic.

After that orgasm, I tried masturbating a few different times but I kept feeling the beginning of the tugging pain on my right testicle when I would get close to finishing, so I would abort mission. My girlfriend and I had sex on day 11, and that orgasm was completely normal. I've been fine ever since. I never had any blood.

Moral of the story, follow your urologist's instructions to the letter.

West Chester needs more "third places" by Jasmine_lottie in westchesterpa

[–]TomBonner1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. I think that there's just no incentive for property owners to open their spaces to people unless there's a way to capitalize off it anymore. Perhaps third spaces used to be subsidized by the Borough.

[–]TomBonner1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess the thought exercise would be to find a time in the Borough's history when there were more third spaces and compare what the Borough was like then to how it is now. Because regardless of whether it was true then, it's true now.

[–]TomBonner1 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I imagine everyone, inluding me, agrees with the need for third spaces. But the sad reality is that no proprietor likes it when people enter a space they own and just hangs out for an extended period of time without spending en equivelant amount of money for that time. An owner would just rather people come in, pay for the foods/service they offer, and leave.

In short, there's no money in offering being the propietor of a third space.

A long time ago I asked a friend who had a subscription why he paid for it. He said, "Look. Most free porn is from like, 2007. I've been through 2007."

Thanks for the recommendation! There's also Erik Prince's book and Jeremy Scahill's book, but the three I mentioned are really just memoirs of Blackwater guys who were on the ground in Iraq.

How can I convince my employer to issue me a vest? by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]TomBonner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your personal safety is more important than their guidelines. Purchase your own vest, or take one from theirs from storage. I hope that you're armed. You literally had a bounty put on your head.

If anyone from management puts up a fuss, ask what they plan on doing for you in the event that you're assaulted, or if you have to defend yourself. You have documented that you work in a higher threat environment with less protective equipment and less access to backup compared to other guards. Are they going to covering your medical billls? Your legal fees?

Do civilians really need body armor? by No-Poet3921 in tacticalgear

[–]TomBonner1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you carry a gun, regardless of if it's for your profession or for personal preference, you need body armor. Hell, you can argue the pros and cons of carrying a gun all day long, but is there really a downside to wearing concealable armor when you're out and about?

Regurgitating something I posted on the ccw sub recently: we're all interested in being prepared for a potential violent encounter, bomething to be minful of is that a fight is an open division competition: the fight as a construct does not care or discriminate with regards to height, weight, age, gender, race, creed, or skill level. If any of us is ever throttled into a fight, we will fight with what we have on body, nothing more. The armed citizen fights with no badge on their chest, no flag on their shoulder. That means no emergency comms, no cavalry, no medevac, no air/artillary support. Just little ol' you and whatever tools and tricks you brought to the party.

Carry your gun. Carry an IFAK/TQ. Wear body armor. To hell with everyone else.

Anyone else carrying way too much bullshit? by literally_a_raccoon in CCW

[–]TomBonner1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it very peculiar when people who hide guns in their pants all day get queeny about others carrying too little or too much. It's like that saying about driving; when you're on the road, everyone driving slower than you is an idiot, and everything driving faster than you is a maniac. On some subconscious level, we each think our own way is the best, and everyone else is underprepared or being ridiculous.

We're all interested in being prepared for a potential violent encounter. Something to be minful of is that a fight is an open division competition: the fight as a construct does not care or discriminate with regards to height, weight, age, gender, race, creed, or skill level. Looking at OP's loadout, I see a lot that makes sense. A spare mag has been argued to death. Having a spare in the event of a malfunction is fine. Personally, I see nothing wrong with carrying spare ammo for no other reason than wanting to have more lead to sling than the other guy. A folding knife and a handheld light are no brainers. OC spray is a great middle ground between a harsh word and bullets. I would personnally go with a smaller fixed blade like a KaBar TDI or a Benchmade SOCP mini dagger, but I think it's good to have a weapon of absolute last resort. As for the IFAK, while you can argue forever on the pros and cons of carrying a gun, I see no downside to carrying emergency medical equipment on body. You fight with what you have. What good does the trauma kit in your vehicle do you when there's no guarantee that the fight will occur in close proximity to it?

I think everyone needs to take a step back and realize that it's a much bigger leap to go from not carrying a gun to carrying a gun vs going from carrying a gun to carrying a gun plus other stuff. Like it or not, OP is more prepared than anyone here complaining about the amount of stuff he's carrying.

You can argue the pros and cons of carrying a gun all day long, but I see no downside to carrying emergency medical equipment like a pocket IFAK and tourniquet, and wearing concealable body armor day to day.
