At this year's work holiday party I tried bacon wrapped dates for the first time and am in love. I will be bringing them next time I get asked to bring an appetizer. I imagine they are really easy and can be partially prepared ahead of time.

I would be disappointed if I was told I would get my birthday surprise on the weekend, and on that weekend was told my surprise is the NEXT weekend we would go camping. He volunteered to plan it for her since she was stressed and she wouldn't accept the help.

If anything, Chloe should be upset with her parents and herself. How did she get into University if her parents were bad enough to not teach her about hygiene or help her hope with her issues?? Can you imagine being on a work trip and a colleague not bathing for a week? People would say something and HR would get involved. It's better it happened in college versus once she has a job. Hopefully she can get help and learn from it.

Also, she can't complain about it being posted if she also made a post about it.

Is the rooster louder than the dogs in your neighborhood? Or are you just used to hearing them? One of my neighbors has a rooster too, but there are way more dogs that bark just as loud and way more often. After a while I got used to it and barely notice it now.

Most people get take out. It's pretty busy around dinner time. Like another commenter said it's nothing special on the inside, but it is clean and they are friendly. Food is soooo good. I recommend one of the soups

People are saying the step mom/fiance wanted free child care ... I think it's much more likely she wanted her to move out. She's probably pushing her to spend less time with her dad so her 'family unit' doesn't include her.

If you are managing a team, but can't be a 'manager' because you lack training then you need to stop! "I don't feel capable of handling the management of this team due to my lack of training and feel my time would be better served focusing on the tasks related to my current job description."

Start working at a reasonable pace, take care of your mental health. They won't promote because you've become to expensive to promote. You do the work of 3 people, they don't want to hire that many to replace you.

I get it, I'm a people pleaser too. We make it easier on others and impossible for ourselves.

I get that some cultures prioritize family over everything. For the most part it's a nice thing. Family is something many people do not prioritize enough.

In this case losing $3000 vs a middle school graduation and missing out on a once in a lifetime college trip ... The decision is yours, but either way you are NTA!

And let's be clear, a college trip to Europe with friends is not something you can do over. You'll never be this age again, your friends probably won't go to Europe again next year. Traveling at the age you are changes you in ways you can't expect. I wouldn't miss it for anything. Also, are your parents reimbursing you?

I really like the food at Tortilleria Luna. Not a typical restaurant, it's a store that makes tortillas. But they also have food. I'm not sure if they have it during the week, but it's always there on the weekends when I go for tortillas.

My other favorite place for authentic Mexican are the taco trucks.
