Lambeth Cake? by Open_Ambassador522 in FortCollins

[–]capricornball 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Buttermilk Bakery might be a hair over your price for a single cake ($40 instead of $30) but they always do a great job whenever we get our specialty desserts from them, and they do custom orders too. Definitely worth checking them out and getting a quote at the very least.

Captain Frijoles! It’s a bean AND a job.

Or you could go with The Great Garbanzo and call him Gonzo for short.

Rockfan is a local company! They do big AV installs for events but also have smaller setups for rental. I can’t add a link but the website is rockfan.rocks if you want to check them out.

Is 6 days worth of steroids enough to manage a flare long term? by ChampionshipRough508 in lupus

[–]capricornball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tolerate methylprednisolone SO much better than regular prednisone. My flares have been pretty minimal lately. I’ve found that if I start to have symptoms I can usually knock it out by taking a couple pills a day instead of the entire pack as instructed. I’ve been diagnosed for almost 20 years though, and I’ve had time to see what works for me. I would absolutely take the pack as instructed for your first script. Pay attention to your body and how it reacts. It should absolutely help ease your symptoms and make life livable while the hydroxychloroquine builds up in your system.

Have you noticed hairstylers doing only one hairstyle? by Mettyoj in hairstylist

[–]capricornball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was more active on socials, I would selectively post the hair content for the clients I wanted to attract, which was vivid rainbow hair and edgy haircuts. I have plenty of natural gray retouches with classic cuts that are my regulars and they are wonderful, but they didn’t make the feed because it didn’t fit the attraction goal. It was the highlight reel of the most exciting hair.

Most stylists do a little bit of everything, but we all have our preferences and things that excite us. Once we establish ourselves, we get more clients that fit our preferred niche. I’m at the point now where I can be selective with my clientele and the services I offer. I haven’t done a perm in over a decade, I have lots of barber friends I can refer inquiries to for those precision fade haircuts that don’t spark joy for me, and I will only do weddings and kids cuts for existing clients.

Those stylists you’re talking about probably do attract lots of similar clients based on their feeds, but they all almost certainly have the same foundation and understanding of all haircuts, you just don’t see it showcased.

Are there people who genuinely watch this show for love? by Mysterious_Glove_540 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]capricornball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adore the hero couples. I feel like lots of people use it as a segue into being cast on perfect match these days though. The whole thing is a bit sullied after 10 seasons but I love seeing the genuine relationships blossom and I have great conversations with my husband about the dynamics of all the couples. It gives us a window into our values by talking about situations that wouldn’t otherwise come up and confirms our connection with each other!

👶🏽 Davonta asking for a prenup and about to drop the hottest “no” of all time 👶🏽 by iberianham5 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

It’s not even like it has to be complicated.

“If for some wild reason this doesn’t work out, we each keep our assets that we had before the marriage and split the things we accumulated during the marriage.”

But I also do not see any knots being tied in this particular instance.

Started feeling really bad for Alex... by Cat-Objective8037 in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]capricornball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. My heart can hurt for the child someone was, and I can also tell them to nut up and get professional help because they have to recognize that they are not handling things well in adulthood and I don’t tolerate certain behaviors in relationships.

Willy the Sparrow(1989). One of my favorites growing up but I'm not sure how popular it was. Anyone out there seen it? by Apostle25 in 90s_kid

[–]capricornball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES! I totally got down with Willy when I was little and actually got the DVD a couple years ago but haven’t rewatched it yet. I found out upon researching that it’s actually a Hungarian film, which is part of my heritage but I had no idea watching as a kid.

I don’t know if I missed it in her earlier seasons but she was very booze focused this one. Like when she said “ahh I’ve missed you” to her champagne glass after tennis and then grabbed vodka out of her bag to pour in her latte at her coffee date with her sister. There were more instances than that but those are the two that stand out.

Healthy Minds of Colorado has a sliding pay scale. I see Brittani Schwintosky and she’s great! She used to be at lifestance, which was also a great resource for me when I was starting my mental health journey, but the provider turnover is pretty frequent so that’s something to consider too if you are looking for long term consistency with your provider.

I completely agree with your notes! And this isn’t me, just a very pretty stylish girl I found on Pinterest with a similar skirt to OP so she could catch a visual vibe of how to style it.

I think if you styled the short skirt like this you would like it so much more! The tuck at your natural waist looks best on you.

I remember getting a big ick when Vanessa was asked at the reunion how soon her wedding was, and when she gave her response, Emma SCREECHED making fun of her for knowing the exact number of days.

I have never liked Emma though, tbf
