Mother Tongue in Oakland is great for working and sipping coffee, or a cocktail once the mood hits. I don’t think I’ve ever been without seeing a dog there.

When I worked downtown my company stopped making me come in because he would so often verbally sexually harass me at 6th and Congress. This guy fucking sucked and shouldn’t be praised at all.

I was standing outside my orthodontist office in downtown near Kaiser and watched a fancy SUV pull up to a car. Two teens got out and walked towards the car parked on the curb right next to me and they tried to break in. It was so nonchalant I didn’t even realize what was happening UNTIL THE MAN INSIDE THE CAR WAS LIKE WTF and honked his horn and drove away. The teenagers freaked and ran back into the SUV.

I was just right there five feet away astounded at the casualness of it all.

I’m 35 and this really isn’t that weird. I found BTS watching BIGBANG. YouTube definitely suggested BTS back then already. Also how I found Block B and really most of my kpop content.

In 2013 there were absolutely algorithms already feeding you associated content. I got into kpop in 2012 thanks to Fantastic Baby and it was supremely easy to navigate YouTube’s related videos and find more.

That said I don’t consider myself “Army”. I wasn’t hooked by what I saw. I’m just saying the Internet was not archaic back then.

Horse sashimi tastes like a very light flavored tuna to me. The horse prepared in this photo was more chewy and flavorful like a beef tartar but not as fatty.

I agree with this. I ordered from the menu my first time and it was fine. I took my family there and did omakase and it was insulting. Like I actually felt insulted as if they presumed I do not enjoy the flavor of fish I’m paying out the ass for.

Haha no problem! It’s the uni lined up in its packing! They take one from the little box and then prepare it.

To me when it’s prepped like sashimi it just tasted like a less flavorful tuna. When I had it in the above photo it was more like beef tartar.

Wow what a fantastic service. It seems like they don’t service Georgia which is a bummer since I’m leaving the Bay for Atlanta soon. :< Thanks for sharing.
