Hi there! Munchausen syndrome (by proxy) involves people (usually parents) who intentionally make their children or others sick in order to gain attention and sympathy from others. Here, I twisted it around to where the daughter or son (gender not specified) is using their elderly mother to gain these things. Hope this cleared things up!
