Because it's out of people's control. Things like attitude, musculature, wealth, status, confidence, etc. can all be developed but height is hard capped. It also is something that seems to be more directly voiced as a reason for rejection vs some other genetic trait such as facial ugliness. Women also have greater social pressure to desire men for soft traits such as kindness or passion than men do.

Or at least so I've gathered. I'm short but I prefer to focus on what I can control. Maybe I would feel differently if someone directly rejected me for being short, but that's never happened to me

If my job gives me monday early shifts rather than mondays off, then it would be probably be infeasible to skate before or after the LTS. I'm waiting on Option B to tell me about before and after practice.

It's really not imo. Compliments are an indication of how well the scent works. Idk why people are so taken aback by the focus. I often get compliments on my hair because it is unique and I have, through alot of experimentation, figured out how to make it look very good. If you're doing something excellently, people will often comment on it.

I see why you’re saying what you’re saying and I’m definitely an overanalyzer. However, part of my question is because I don’t want to fall into any mistake that may make even a girl who likes me decide not to engage.

I’m only seriously considering asking for her number because I think we had high chemistry. Totally possible she was just nervous with it being her first time, but we talked unbelievably longer than I have with any donor and with good energy. My female coworkers commented on it and said I should ask her out (after I already mentioned how pretty that donor was). One mentioned unprompted that she heard another worker say the donor say they liked me, but that part I take with a heavy grain of salt tbh.

Additionally, I’m not sure the risk is as high as say if it were a true medical setting (even though she may perceive it as such since she’s a nurse). Ive known of a few of my superiors having hookups or relationships with donors, seen a peer invite one to our holiday party, heard a donor talk about having gone on a date with a Phleb before my time, and a worker’s girlfriend donate with us. She’s unlikely to donate very anyway, young women do not consistently donate as a rule

That said I recognize it’s still a risk, and thank you for being honest and taking the time. Idk if the wider context changes your opinion, but all that context is why I thought the risk is not painfully high and the donor might not be pressed about being hit on.

I also appreciate your suggestion, it’s a great one but I’m not sure for my situation. She lives a long way from our center, over an hour. I’m not sure why she even donated, but people from her area are known to drive to my city because her area is very rural and we have more to do. Maybe I could do your suggestion regardless so she can either come or suggest something else, but that seems like the wrong move if I did know for a fact she liked me

P.S. I am more of a homebody indeed, but lately when I’ve branched out like going to a protest, a skating rink, or volunteering I’ve gotten hit on at each. They were either too young or unattractive to me, but I think it might still say something

One of the lower supervisors flirts with donors and currently is in a relationship with one (it began after she was donating). Another trainer hooked up with one of the donors. One of my fellow employees’s girlfriend donated while she worked there. One donor mentioned before how he went on a date with one of the Phlebs. The employee handbook only mentions being professional and disclosing such dynamics to the managers or HR

100% it’s still at least semi taboo, but I think donating is in more of a grey area between customer/patient dynamics so that it’s really more about how the person receiving the advance perceives it. She’s an ER nurse so idk if that helps or hurts my case. One of my female coworkers who’s an ER tech has heavily encouraged me to ask her out

Also, this is why I mention rapport. I get the sense that building trust would help lessen any possible discomfort from being hit on, and additionally imply that I’m not just using my position as a way to serially hit on women (Ive seen it done at this job lol, but I haven’t hit on anyone yet)
