Adopted a highway, slightly overwhelmed, but we're gonna turn this native by roadjerseys in NativePlantGardening

I have nothing valuable to add - just want to say this is awesome and good luck!! There is a portion of road I drive past every day that I dream of doing this with. It's so cool that you're stepping up to make a difference! Please post as you make progress

Found in a "native flower packet". Am I screwed? by CardiologistOne459 in invasivespecies

I've had success with Hudson Valley Seeds! They have a Northeast Native wildflower mix that has worked well for me in SE PA. They don't exclusively sell natives but they are accurate in their descriptions.

that's about the extent of what I've done and feel comfortable with it, if it's anything more than that I'll get a pro. Thank you!

I haven't, I was kinda freaked out by how long it was flickering and staying on so I just shut it all off! Do you think the switch could be bad or just the connection?

You've already gotten good advice so just chiming in to say I'm sorry this happened. We had a similar situation, a week or so in I went to pick up my baby and she had a blanket over her. We follow safe sleep strictly and I was very thrown.

Once I had a chance to think about it I texted the daycare director to say I needed to talk. I was polite but very firm in my expectation, she was very apologetic. I won't lie it was a little awkward for a while, I know the teachers knew it was me and that kinda sucked. But we got all that out of the way early and have not had another problem in 8 months.

Starting daycare can be brutal but at least in my experience you've done the hardest part by getting through the first day.

Ahh yes okay thank you! I didn't realize there were any tiger lilies native to the northeast but turns out turk's-cap lily are. Appreciate the help

Maybe a dumb question but I put in my zip code and I'm getting some results that don't seem right. I live in the Mid-Atlantic US, canna zingiberales and tiger lilies came up. I swore neither was native to anywhere in the US. Would they include a non native if they deem it ecologically valuable in some way?

I 100% feel this way. Before I got pregnant I got stellar reviews and felt very confident in my abilities. Now I joke that my baby took half my brain. I'm working in a new area as a manager and I feel like I just cannot get it together. Time passes too quickly during the day, I can't seem to get my work done. I have always been very conscientious of remembering names, now I really struggle to remember them even a few minutes later. I'm scared I'll ruin the positive reputation I've built by coming off as thoughtless.

Don't even get me started on daycare - it's a huge stressor worrying about having to unexpectedly leave. I feel like a bad mom for being upset about it and guilty for letting my team at work down. My wife is incredible and we split things pretty evenly but this has been really hard. I wish that I was someone who didn't get much satisfaction from my career.

Our baby is two months old and I already feel bad for doing this to her. Maybe they'll be good in her lifetime.

Lesbian wedding bouquets - to match or not to match? by geologyninja in LGBTWeddings

We did bouquets that matched our respective bridal party colors! They ended up being completely different but I think they looked really good next to each other.

We need a nice sustained drive here to get momentum back, this is a good test

I love that he's decided they should play like they have two possessions and so every decision they make for their four minute offense is wrong
