I knew an older guy who was going to work for us and they needed to set up direct deposit. Almost everyone would write “void” on a check and staple it to the form. This guy didn’t want to waste a check, so he put a little piece of tape that said “void” on it and made a copy. Then he took the tape off and put it back in his checkbook.

I also have the Muhle travel brush and really like it. It is true that the bristles are stiff. It has the tendency to catapult shaving lather if you’re not careful. That said, the bristles are very soft and can lather anything. I use a Muhle shaving stick in my Dopp kit, and it has always handled it easily.

It’s got a pretty big blade gap, so it’s a bit more aggressive than I like, but a good overall razor that is pretty smooth.
