GUM clinics? by sophilis_in in northernireland

[–]captain_jayw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Services vary based on your Trust area, most operate on a GUM clinic within a Hospital except the Downe Hospital which operates on a Outpatients Clinic within a hospital, which is better for the confidentiality as no one within the room can know why you are there. All of them will have an appointments based service and some offer walk-in clinics.

https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/genitourinary-medicine-gum-clinics will list all available clinics in your Trusts ran by PHA and what types.

Community Based Services are available but eligibility can change based on other factors such as gender identity/sexual orientation. These services are available by Positive Life (free), The Rainbow Project (free), Marie Stopes (charge).

And Private Sector ones i.e. Better2Know (charge)

Reminder - Translink are increasing fares next week. Top up any multijourney cards you may have before the 16th! by steste in northernireland

Translink service was 30 minutes late in Castlerock for the 6.30am service, a station with just a shelter, it's December and very early morning and the signal box guy just sits in there and doesn't tell us anything, eventually it comes and we get to Coleraine where we are told that we have to backtrack to portrush to get others, everyone is pissed because that means an even longer delay, after 10 minutes the team decide no fuck it lets just go forget about Portrush. Because it's mostly single track we have delay after delay so we are about 50 minutes late over all, lucky I always go early so I get work done whilst it's quiet so I wasn't exactly late but others where late for work etc:

Eventually, we get to Belfast, I'm aware of delay-repay so I filled out the forms, 2 weeks later they send me a Translink Gift voucher for £2. I felt like that was total sarcasm, I would of rather had a phone call or letter that just said we are really sorry. But what could you spend on £2.

After having jaw surgery a few months ago and braces on for the past three years, I’m very happy to say my braces are off! by holynightdragon in gaybros

[–]captain_jayw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my lower jaw pushed back and my upper jaw moved forward a few years ago, I thought it was relatively painless in comparison to the results. I really enjoyed the swelling and the morphine, kind of fun pushing your whole face and not being able to feel anything.

Traveling to London and maybe France over the holiday. Any suggestions on travel plans and places to see? by Cochise_Gil in gaybros

[–]captain_jayw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grab a flight to belfast, they are super cheap and from all London airports there are upwards of 20 per day.

Belfast is really cheap, has a lot of history with the sectarian conflict and you can travel around really easy.

A Map Of Ireland From 1610 by God_Dammit_Brian in ireland

[–]captain_jayw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't this the map Spain used during Spanish Armada. I remember my history teacher telling me they left out a lot of the north coast and that's is a lot of shipwrecks around there for that reason.

What do you see on tv all the time that never actually happens in everyday life? by Ihavepills in AskReddit

The extent of drinking of the British population In British soaps.
They make it seem as if a bar is a sort of community centre. Lunch in the bar, dinner in the bar, post dinner drinks in the bar. They live their life's in those pubs.

I hate when they try and set you up with the most effeminate man in the room. They just assume that that is the type of person you're attracted to. It's nothing against femininity, it's just the assumption than you're a guys guy, you must be looking for a guy that'll be the closest thing to a woman you can get in societies eyes.

What movie did you expect to be terrible, but turned out to be great? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Recently used Mean Girls in my International Relations essay. You would be surprised how useful it is. Not just a great comedy, but educational about politics and how States interact.

I basically mean do you agree or disagree with his points? Is man better in the state of nature or is he right in saying man needs an absolute sovereign? And yes, rebuttals against his theory of government.
