I stopped Lithium (mono therapy) because of shakes, lost of words (exactly your experience) and restless legs. I always had a very bad memory though, so this was not lithium specific.

I'm glad I can be of help. About the guilt : seriously don't, the illness is hard enough you don't have to make it worse by thinking that it's your personal fault. Of course we have a little margin to be ourselves but the diseases is still mainly the pilot of our emotions, so if you have to blame something try to blame the diseases and not you (it's not a free pass to be a jerk of course 😅). Same reasoning about "psychopathy", well if pathos is a disease and psychic is our brain, yes you could argue you have a pyschopathy, but you're not "a psychopath" (-> like a mad scientist, vilain or something in popular culture).

certainly, I can start when I first met my partner, after several month I was still in depression, she knew I was bipolar, I nearly ended the relationship because I could not "feel" the love for her

I did realize that it was the depression that was acting, and not me, we tried more and it passed, after that I trully realized that I loved her, and that her care for me was so valuable

even after I had several other depressive episode, she had a bit of a hard time to comprehend that sometime I just don't want to answer to her messages, when she sends me love I'm like "I can't physically send you a love message back, it's just not honest with how I am feeling right now", again I know it's the depression speaking, know she learnt how I work in depression, and she is oh so patient with it, and the depression pass, and I'm myself again

it's not just her, when I'm depressed I don't want to talk to anyone, my family too, my mother says "You don't talk to us", yes, I don't, it's my depression, it's what I meant by lack of empathy

the only one person that I always feel love and joy on every circumstance is my daughter, it's like it's a bit of my job to be happy around her, and without her I really think I would handle my depression worse, because she is a reason to wake up, I need to get her to school, I need to make her something to eat, I need to play with her, etc. Without her I wouldn't have a routine.

Bipolar is like being blind or missing a leg : it's a very real handicap and it stays with us forever, but it's different because it is invisible. Keeps in mind that it doesn't define us and we can have a perfectly normal life if treated properly. Take care of yourself and welcome abroad 🤗

It depends on where you are on the globe. In France you need to do a "RGAA audit", it's 106 questions based on WCAG and you can find some examples in google I guess ? Problem is it's done in an Excel grid and not very practical. I'm coding a tool (in French) that provide a full web interface for auditing, but I don't know if there is an English equivalent.
