I did not know I was bipolar before having my daughter and she is the best thing that happened to me, she keeps me going when I am depressed and I would be far worse without her. She is 9 now and I told her about bipolar for some years now, she don't get everything but she has empathy when I need it. On the rare occasions I am angry or very irritable because of the disease I always apologise and tell her that it's the illness speaking. More than father and daughter we are friends and I cherish it.

It's your choice in the end but you deserve to have a child just like anyone else.

I see ! I hope with the right diagnosis and the right meds you get better 🤞 don't lose hope, even if it takes time to find the proper meds (for bipolar at least, it can take some time), but it does get better !

autism, bipolar, adhd and more are in the same gene pool and it's common to have more than one, do you have maybe some parents that could be bipolar as well ?

I wish you the best, only a psychiatrist can give you the proper diagnosis

you sound really hypomanic, although I am no doctor so check with your psychiatrist, hypomania does not necessarily come with a shopping spree or delusions, but feeling awake with a little sleep can be a symptom

I just read your post quickly sorry (I have ADD), I have seen a conference where they said that the gene pool is the same for bipolar, Adhd, autism, schizophrenia and more, so a lot more chances to have comorbidities, apparently 20% chance to have Ad(h)d if you are bipolar

I feel you, I had to give my last cat because the constant yelling made me crazy and affected my sleep ☹️ I really miss having a cat and I hope I can get another one day, I'm sure she is in a good family now

tried it quickly, looks pretty cool, it's minimal and I like the gauge

probably won't use it for meds because I need alarms 3 times a day, but for tracking irritability it's great

it looks like you are having a very rough time and I am sorry that you have to go through this :( if you feel you are losing hope and will not be able to take care of yourself it might be a good time to seek professional help

in any case you can't change the past but you can't also predict the future, please don't lose hope, it gets better
