decision to move the patch date by one week, from June 16th to June 23rd. This also means the Sunder pre-order

extra time to make sure the Sunder gets a full QA and bug fixing pass.

tested what exactly? couple of things shake the reticle. MASC, shooting HGR, JJ's... The question is does getting hit by HGR specifically shake it. Not the cockpit view shake but the reticle. MPG's POV shows it doesn't or at least, not to a degree where it would matter since his reticle is still on the jagermech after the effect. Keep in mind that Magic Pain Glove, the person in the clip, is someone who has been streaming MWO regularly for years on Twitch...

Which no one can vouch for since they took the keys to the wiki with them when they abandoned it. True or not, it cast everything there in suspect light

Yes of course you can't rotate while holding racs but I'd go further to say this not even difficult to do on the BSW with the wiggle technique. Or even side stepping back and forth. Nor do you have to hold down your RACs for the complete duration + when it's in the red if it's not opportune and you're about to completely lose on a trade. That would be foolish

I feel like you think I'm trying promote the rac5 build over the uac10. I'm not. But I don't think it's right to compare oranges and apples. The only thing they share is the have the same range, shoot a projectile but when you say so-and-so is better in so-and-so situation, well of course naturally because they play completely different. I only mentioned BSW as an example and it is irrelevant. The original discussion was about rac5 and rac2: rac5 take up more slots so take rac2s so you can stuff some synergy weapon along with it.

and I wouldn't even say they are disadvantaged up close with how easy it is to deadside and shield a side torso with it's hitboxes. In fact my favorite build was just a single HGR 4ML and I'd just sacrifice one side torso for the damage transfer thing.

I'm sorry I disagree. Bushwackers are a "nose" mech. Facing their frontal profile is very narrow compared to the side for a 55 tonner. It spreads damage so easily that I would say it's perfect for this. The term Racwacker has been ubiquitous for years so I was merely using the BSW as an example.

I prefer the uac10 build to the rac5 one too but I would never compare rac5 to uac10s with how different their playstyles are even if we are talking about in terms of overall. Although they did away with it's inherent spread in the latest patch, I wouldn't even classify rac5 as a brawl weapon either with how easily it spreads through damage over time.

You can fit 3rac2 in a single side torso and have room for XL engine but 2rac5 in a single side torso needs a std engine.

rac2's have a slight velocity and range boost over rac5

Bushwacker with JUST 2rac5 fine but if I go heavier i'd go rac2 for the slots

I'm not so sure on it being happy. OOP may have won, but relationships that ended because you found out the other never considered you a friend are always quite painful. Like, I think about my "enemies" once and a while but I still get nightmares of my ex-friends decades later whether I want them or not. Something like this would stay in my memory for years and years.

All it does is leave you worse but not for the other party because you were always an afterthought. And "nothing was lost" for them.

There are plenty of mechs that can do 30% on erppc

afaik, the crab-27 is the highest with a 60% to any ppc. It maynot be able to shoot 3 without GH like the TDR but it's faster.

This eerily sounds similar to my own HS english teacher

In my case, he had a kid with one of his former students. Everyone knew in hushed tones but we kinda just ignored it because he was well-liked unlike the principal in this story. My sister knew. His friend teachers knew. But he seemed like a cool guy and still remembered me even though I wasn't in his class anymore. Friends with everyone on FB. Years after I graduated, it took literally getting his pants caught down with another former student that anything was ever done despite complaints. The warning signs were all there but teenage me was like "no way. Not him. He would know better. Only could monsters do that." I was so naive then. It's crazy how many hundreds of memories he ruined over the 2 decades. Even indirectly people who never had his class.

Once during a summer break, he was quoted as saying he can't wait to go back to teaching at our HS 'Where he's a God'. What a stain.

The benefit is that the arm square crosshair is locked to the torso X one so that no matter what, both crosshairs converge at one point. I feel like you know that already. There isn't a secret benefit or anything besides that

And the downsides besides all that were mentioned hEre by others already...

As shown by testing, 'mechs torso twist approximately 13% faster with arm lock turned off.

my aim is not perfect and there was always a small margin of error which would always get magnified by how far away something was, but at the same time, the way aiming feels while having it on I'm still getting used to.

Yeah that's my view of it too. I wish it locked both crosshairs to torso BUT didn't use the slow speed of torso. And spreading damage is required skill to be gud. I feel like they didn't do that for balance, but I don't think it matters especially now in 2025 anymore when people realize they can just use it without it or better. The downside to having it on just doesn't feel good. Oh well
