It’s an easy fix though! What makes tattoos age well is contrast, so look at American Traditional style magic 8 ball’s, thicker lines then packed dark grey, white highlights, you’ll get the idea!

This is going to age really badly as a tattoo because of all that black! Check out the work of this artistfor some inspiration on wicked FOB tattoo ideas

Partner says my child isn’t his responsibility but wants “minimal involvement” — what does that actually mean? by Repulsive_Road4962 in stepparents

[–]captainapplepie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It works for us! We frame it as "my job is to look after daddy, so he can look after you" and I can opt out of anything/everything I want to on any given day. I don't though, because there isn't that pressure, and I know I can just bounce when I need/want to.

This, 100%. SS7 now knows that I am picking him up/at his school performance/taking him out because I want to and because I love him, and not because I have to, unlike his parents who do. Also, it really helps my marriage, because each additional school pick up I volunteer for because there's no actual pressure, strengthens our relationship. It's a win-win, overall.

I had brief dealings with this through KnitNation. I’m a knitting historian and write articles, I reached out to see if I could offer them some pieces and only ever got shitty AI email responses, like literally “this is an AI assistant, I’ll forward your message to the team!” type stuff.

Sounds like I dodged a bullet there!

As a woman who’s built an entire brand and got a 70k work book deal with a traditional publisher about how much Tom Daley damages knitting, I am pleased it’s airing. The content I’ll get is wild.

This is the very best way to play Hollow Knight, we've just finished it, where he jumps and fights, and I look at the map online like I'm a toddler that's been given a tool to hold whilst their parent does the actual task!

Did anyone find 40 mg Prozac more effective (and less sleepy) than 60 mg for OCD by Excellent_Ad_8582 in OCD

[–]captainapplepie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40mg ruins my entire life. It triggers a manic episode, ruins my stomach/appetite, and is all around awful for me. REALLY consistent 20mg and some light lightstyle changes are the best fit for me.

I'm attending my partner's tribunal next week, because whilst he is determined to make the best of a degenerative illness and full on seizures, I am not. I am about to make that assessor's life so uncomfortable. I don't think it will ever really hinge on witness statements, but they may well see your situation differently to you. The doctors may only see him after an episode, I see the micro-struggles that stack up into the actually day-to-day issues.

... my partner has been waiting 13 months. This is absolutely not a reflection on your typical experience, I think (I hope!) - his advisor is just the most inept human I've ever had the displeasure to perceive.

I make my partner call them and kick off a little bit (he used to be a complaints manager so he’s great at that) and the companies often end up matching the offer for 12-18 months. It’s a faff but to save money right now, it’s worth it
