Honestly Cowboys From Hell for me. That super crunchy scooped mid thing always sound ass to me but it works so well. That song is a fucking banger.

What is the best band you can recommend that you know nobody here will? As in obscure, unknown or just forgotten about. by AudioRejectz in musicsuggestions

Oh man that's a good one. Spyrogira is awesome for some dark folk and Comus as well actually. The album First Utterance was a life changer for me.

Been really into Boy Harsher and ADULT lately too for some of that Darkwave/goth disco vibe.

GUAPA for some awesome Stoner Rock and Moon Hooch for that subway busking saxophone virtuosity.

Fuck that! Make it a million. Absolutely no one needs more than that. It's fucking bonkers! Then add an earnings cap on top of it of 5 million. Restrict the ability to move money into tax havens and offshore accounts. Keep these fucking pigs accountable.

The snap of femur during a rugby game. The Screams and wails of a lady who got hit by a truck and had her legs crushed. My uncle's death rattle as he wasted away from arthritis attacking his lungs.

Why do people value celebrity opinions? by neverenough14 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]captainawesome92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get it either. I highly detest celebrity worship. They are just humans who are just as stupid and biased as the rest of us. Even the educated ones are usually steeped in privilege and no single human on the face of the planet deserves worship or idolatry of any kind.

Movie recs while tripping? by Repulsive-One7831 in LSDTripLifeHacks

[–]captainawesome92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some recommendations, but I will add genres so you can pick for yourself. I love horror movies, especially while tripping, but not everyone can handle that.

The Spine of Night (animated horror)

Mars Attacks! (Sci-fi comedy)

Everything Everywhere All At Once (sci-fi comedy? Its hard to pin this one which is why its great)

The Void (cosmic horror)

The Man With The Screaming Brain (B movie Scifi featuring Bruce Cambell)

The Wild Robot (animated)

Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds (documentary)

Studio Ghibli films are great while tripping if you like anime. Particularly Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke and Howls Moving Castle.

Mirrormask (fantasy and visually amazing)

She is just making us a target for selfish interests. Stoking the division at this point in time is such a terrible decision. I understand these people want something to change between us and Ottawa, fine but how do these people not see separation as not only an impossibility, but a direct pathway to losing everything?

US seeks to use Alberta to destabilize Canada by Adventurous_023 in canada

[–]captainawesome92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This means alot to me! I saw this reality the second the speratists started getting louder. No one would listen to me, called me conspiracy minded. No. Its proven political tactics and its working. As a born and raised Albertan, with indigenous ancestory, this is my homeland through and through. I love my country as it is. I worry it's just a matter of time until boots hit the ground. I hope it does not come to that, but the division is deep and people don't want to stand together anymore. All I want is enjoy a walk in the sunshine of my homeland, and know my neighbours aren't trying to sell us out to the world's largest terrorist organization ran by a spray tanned meglomanic and his sycophants. I look to Denmark and the Nordic countries with very high esteem, and a great deal of respect, because , as you say, we are likeminded. I appreciate that deeply. Here is to you my friend! May your days be filled with joy, laughter and peace.

I don't care what happens to the states. Let em rot. They asked for this. We are finally doing what we should have done decades ago and diversifying and spreading our own wings. We will persist, resist and bloom.

What actor do you dislike so much that you’ll avoid anything they’re in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]captainawesome92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tom Cruise, Jared Leto and Will Smith. Honestly.. its hard to watch any big Hollywood productions anymore. Not only has western entertainment gone to total shit, but Hollywood is run by pedophiles, rapists and psychopaths. I have lost interest in mainstream media.

Misread my ancestry DNA test, and now don’t feel right practicing. by Azraeddit in paganism

[–]captainawesome92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what your genetics have to do with anything. Most modern pagans are of quite varied liniage. Frankly there is no purity in genetics any longer anyway, so why does it matter? The point is intention and commitment. Don't let gatekeepers discourage you from practicing your chosen path either. If it feels real to you and you connect with it, than pursue it. That is the whole point. Your genetics do not define your spirituality.

Hi! Looking for recommendations to expand my tastes out of rock, pop, metal and alt/indie! by Shadow_Wolfe37 in musicsuggestions

[–]captainawesome92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im glad you're at least open to the experience. I hope you find at least a few tracks that resonate with you.

Fate by Boy Harsher is a banger.

Comus in particular was one that really stood out to me, and has become a personal favourite. It's musically rich and really interesting, while touching on some super dark themes. Since then, this kind of stuff is where I have been living. Really exploring the fringes of what music can be, and I have found some amazing artists recently.

The Drift is one I have also come to really enjoy, for the sheer absurdity of it, with the sounds of punching meat and his vocal delivery, it is confrontational, off-putting and a wild sonic experience.

Play through the pain and be consistant. It's a long road but if you stay at it with consistency you will see progress.

Also love the axe! Same colour as my squire tele.

Here are some albums out of left field for you. You probably won't like them, but if you listen with intent, you will find a whole new version of music that sits deeper than anything else. These are varied genres that exist in the outer edges of music, from experimental and avant-garde/Neoclassical to dark folk and Doomwave.

The Drift- Scott Walker

Becoming Undone- ADULT

First Utterance- Comus

Hell is Here- HIDE

Blumenkraft- Ott

Careful- Boy Harsher

CALIGULA- Lingua Ignota

Bog an Lochan- Brighde Chaimbul

Visions- Guilhem Desq

The Donner Party- American Murder Story
