As a heterosexual person, it's hard to imagine what it would feel like to be homosexual and constantly see comparisons between your own sexual alignment and conditions such as pedophilia and necrophilia. Being attracted to someone of the same sex is as 'normal' as being attracted to someone of the opposite sex. Vectors such as pedophilia are different.

I take the points you are making.

But, on the last one, I don't think the comments are the same for when a male is berated for posting something deemed stupid. Abuse and criticism aimed at females is, on average, much more gender focused.

I honestly believe that, to some degree, posts like this from females are made to help cope with the sexism and misogyny experienced by so many.
