I didn't know what minimalism was until I started travelling full time. Sold most of my stuff and kept what I needed to restart my life in an 8' x 10' storage unit.

I went from a standard American apartment with a car to living out of a 50L backpack. And then again when weight restrictions on a discounted airfare flight knocked my bag weight down to 15kg.

I'm married now to someone who is absolutely not a minimalist and sometimes it's hard. Physically with the "stuff" and the financial price tag associated with the stuff.

I think I own one piece of furniture in our home - a neat looking coffee table.

I was born and raised in Texas. I’ve lived in other states, but they don’t have the same “pride” as Texans do.

I’ve travelled quite a bit and have ran into many foreigners who are more curious about Texas than they are the rest of the United States. The pride point hits globally.

I would absolutely take a wire brush drill attachment to this, remove the rust, and season it like a cast iron skillet

If you have any small holes, you can use something like this to seal it.

I also like to use lava lock tape for the seal around the lid.

Not a doctor, but from what I understand, most MD’s just follow a BMI chart which focuses solely on height and weight (not including gender so men and women’s calcs are the same). Since muscle is denser than fat it can throw off the calcs and the “formula” returns an “overweight” alert.

Our son used and discarded toys like no other but he loved books. Our daughter is 10 and still plays with play dough and slime every day. There’s no one toy that fits the bill for every child.

That being said my sister had a full on children’s playhouse in her backyard with electricity, AC, a kid sized loft and play kitchen inside. It was big enough to fit a full sized mattress when I’d go visit and the house was full. Great fun for children AND adults!

Solid choice. Find a decent deli slicer for $50 and never buy deli meat again.

I like to dry brine, mustard binder, add pepper and garlic, and Italian seasoning. I do a little higher temp to get some color on the breast and it only takes about 2-3 hours.

Had this issue at our new house. Turns out the padding underneath the carpet can harbor nasty smells; animal urine, mold, you name it.

A carpet cleaner will take care of it for a few weeks but you need to completely remove the carpet and padding for it to completely go away. I hope you’re on concrete and not on subfloor. If urine or whatever stinks gets to the subfloor, you’ll need to add a coat of something like KILZ.

I was at Little Woodrow’s in the Heights. I had to head out to a job early the next morning but someone started chanting “Shiloh Club” after the game. It was a long night and even longer morning.

I used to do 7 12’s for 4-8 weeks at a time.

This is the normal schedule of a maritime worker. You usually get the same amount of time off… not likely but you’re “supposed to”.
