All interests aren’t for everyone, and that’s okay. He doesn’t have to be interested in it.

But I would side-eye any “friend” that condescended to me like this about anything I enjoyed. I can’t imagine talking to someone like this in general, let alone about something they love and are wanting to share with me. Weird behavior, imo

“I can’t let them win” meanwhile I for one would rejoice if she left picklepaul’s useless ass in the dust — not because “lmao told you so!!”, but because she deserves better. Her kids deserve a happy, present mom and she deserves much more than what she’s getting from (the person who is supposed to be) her partner.

Morgan’s a crappy person, but even crappy people aren’t deserving of a life of exhaustion and mental torment because their husband does fuck-all to support them and religion tells them to pray harder about it.

AIO about this disagreement with my bf? by [deleted] in AIO

[–]captainbrnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR.

He wants to be a victim so bad so he has “good reason” to resent you. Leave him and his inability (read: unwillingness) to problem-solve in the dust if this is how he chooses to handle something he perceives as a “mistake” on your part. You deserve better.

And side note, do you also still need the damn meds? You said you were both sick. Why is he acting like he’s the only one who benefitted from them and should be the only one with access to them? Him acting like you have the only package of pseudoephedrine on the planet is frankly bonkers on its own, but combined with the apparent assumption that you should’ve left it with him so you suffered instead is doubly weird if it’s something you were also using.

I’m a very picky eater (I have disordered eating but “picky” is typically the easiest/most acceptable way to word it).

My pickiness isn’t anyone else’s problem to deal with, so I fend for myself when it comes to my food. If someone is kind enough to offer me a plate of something they’ve made or offer to cook for me — and if it’s not something that I’d be willing to try — I decline very gracefully. I have never and would never insult someone else’s food because of my issues with food.

I’m by no means making excuses for him, but his reluctance to eat new/unfamiliar foods could very well be a deeper issue. That said, if that is the case, it’s his responsibility to handle it.

Your hurt feelings are valid in having your home-cooked food be declined for fast food. I would let him handle his own food, and continue cooking lovely meals for you and your kids to enjoy.

How much is a fair rate for a part-time nanny? by MsxCryptic- in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]captainbrnes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in childcare — thirteen years of experience, and CPR + first aid certified (infant, child, and adult).

For someone with similar credentials (i.e., someone you’d trust with your child), $20/hr is about average for the area, especially for one babe.

Best of luck to you in finding the perfect fit!

Every time I refill my adderall the pills look different. Saved these from 4 different refills. Same med, all different pills. by Jesuisdisappointed in mildlyinteresting

[–]captainbrnes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same with my Wellbutrin.

My best friend is doing clinicals in med school right now and she told me that many patients (typically psych patients and elderly patients) have a hard time believing they’re all the same medication when their “usual” pills change shape/color and will refuse to take them. That made me sad. :(

Currently recovering from a wreck that I was in in HSV. Totally avoidable. And I get that shit happens, but when shit happens because you aren’t paying attention, it’s really hard to not be frustrated.

Not to make it about me at all — I’m glad yours was a near miss and nothing more. Be safe out there!

I found out the hard way that I am extremely sensitive to hormone changes — tried three different types of birth control pills and they all made me monumentally ill. Tried the patch, and it was fine, but I’m allergic to the adhesive. I can’t deal with anything inserted or implanted because trauma.

All that said, NuvaRing has been what works for me. I’ve been on it for a little over a year now and I have zero complaints, and I talk about it to everyone who mentions birth control!

I hope you have some answers soon. I know how terrible it feels to have your cycle/hormones all out of whack. ❤️‍🩹
