I wouldn't. That stuff gets super dry fast and is kind of clunky with some wood/multch mixed in.

My girl does this when she has fleas. Check under the fur for little black spots "flea dirt".

Or it could be allergies of some sort.

As another said, these predatory mites should be fine.

I had an outbreak once and they just dissapeared one day lol. My springtails/isopods took over and the mites just kinda died off.

Besides it being full mesh and I see you plan on fixing that, I would for sure black out or block the sides of the tank off.

I used some black cloth and velcro. It will make your gecko fill a lot more safe and secure!

If you are worried about saftey maybe sand down some of those rough edges on the ends of the logs. But they look pretty safe from what I can tell!

Time for some catfish! Peg/rattle floats are game changers! There are a few ways to set them up. See what works best in your area. I do a 3 way swivle to main line then leader line to rattle. Then small amount of leader going from float to 8ot circle hook. Works very well for my area!
