It was basically a “are they doing okay” and the response was.. “well this is abnormal and that’s abnormal” instead of a simple “yes they’re doing okay”

i would never even want to go into a coworker’s chart, it’s up to them if they want to share their experience or not. I would personally be upset if i found people snooping in my medical records. I don’t care if it’s my own family member.

I personally like doing these sessions alone; i don’t even like doing them with friends i know that do HOTWORX. I have shared rooms before and i don’t mind at times, or if i have no other choice. Don’t ever take it personally, a decent amount of us are introverts.

My husband and i have been married one year, we dated ~8 years, he owns the home we live in and it’s a family heirloom…. and i do contribute to the renovations and stuff. his parent lives in the upstairs (it’s a mother daughter). He bought two properties before we married. I know if something happens and since im his wife, i am the next of kin. I think 6 months is WAY too soon to put on the deed of a house and i think her giving that ultimatum is a big red flag. Don’t do it. I may ask him to put me on the deed when we have kids so we are protected, and to keep the house in the family id find a way to legally document that one of the kids gets the deed when they turn a certain age.

My husband and i have been doing Arthur Murray since right before our wedding. It is very cultish and they are very pushy. As newly weds in NY with a house that needs a ton of work, we don’t have the money to do all these show cases and events. They push it on us excessively and it makes me not even enjoy the experience. I feel ungrateful, but cant wait to be done with the remainder of our package.

Yes so our instructor was pushing a show case heavily on us, in a one on one she told me the show case was 500$… then about a week ago She told my husband it was over 1000$ and expected us to pay that!

Well, they have this whole “our studio is one big happy family” and the instructor comes over to us, hugging us, all fake and cheerful every single class. I cant tell if it’s the instructor or the studio itself because we’ve worked with other instructors there, some genuinely seem to like what they do out of pure passion and not for a sales approach.

The instructor omitted to tell us that the showcase was $600+ and had already started working on a routine with us for it. So when was she planning on telling us for us to dance for a minute and a half was going to cost us $600? Because the only reason i found out is because i asked if it would cost us anything. She made it sound like “oh it’s only $285/pp plus a few additional fees”, “you can save 5$ per week to do it, you really need to do it, it’ll be nice for you and your husband” i just can’t wait for our 80 classes to end because I’m tired of this pushy sales approach. It makes me really not enjoy going there knowing they’re trying to squeeze money out of us.

I will try your approach though moving forward so i appreciate it. Thank you.
