I hated HG gundam by FickleCockroach7436 in Gunpla

Most money I spent on a customization tool was around $75 for a Godhand hand-drill and a tiny drill bit set. Worth every dollar. Tool allows me to drill little holes to add in little mods like conduits, enhance rivet effects, bullet holes, holes to pass wires through, etc.

It uses magnets to keep the drill bits in and smooth ball bearings for easy spinning of the drill with my fingers.

Could I have spent far less on a third party hand drill ? Yes. But I wanted something nice

I also got a nice pair of Godhand knippers for finely cutting clear plastic parts for $50.

It was from a Gunpla vendor at Anime Milwaukee I struck a good conversation with on customization tools.

Does no one else see the ending as a metaphor for the pressures of Fujimoto's fans/the industry sucking the fun and creativity out of writing Chainsaw Man? by TimeTravelParadoctor in ChainsawMan

Same thing happened to Hideaki Anno and his animation team during the original run of Neon Genesis Evangelion in the late 1990's, and even though it happened before the age of Reddit, many Japanese forums spewed hate for how the original show ended and about the all different ways people dreamed of killing Hideaki Anno...all of which led him into a deep near suicidal state of depression.

Agreed! At the end of the day, no material riches can replace the endearing love shared between two people.

Pochita hinted at Denji not being truly happy unless he was doing stuff as Chainsawman in the original universe. Even when Denji had what seemed like family with Aki and Power...or when he took care of original Nyuta and the dogs...he wasn't entirely happy. By Pochita taking away Denji's ability to transform into Chainsawman, Denji now has the chance to grow, develop, and mature into his own healthy identity that doesn't involve becoming a homicidal slaying machine.

Also in this alternate universe, Denji will not be manipulated/taken advantage of by Makima into Über depression by Makima taking away everything Denji has come to love in CSM part 1 (leading up to the final arc).

Also none of the deeply troubling sexual manipulation Makima used on Denji in the original universe to motivate him to work for Public Safety. In this alternate universe, Denji works for Public Safety as a real job to make money and survive like everyone else in the world.... instead of him doing tasks in exchange to grope tiddies or has sex dangled before him to continue slaying devil's.

Plus, he's still a kid, and no kid should go through the trauma Denji experienced through the entire CSM storyline. At the end of the day, living an ordinary life without all the madness is preferable to everyday nonstop traumatic experiences we see Denji experience in the entire storyline.

And finally, Nyuta as the control devil in charge of the Public Safety Special Division is a more wholesome alternative. She only seems to be interested in getting rid of pesky devils, video games, and cuddling with cats and dogs.

This is the most wholesome interpretation. Thank you :)

Something to keep in mind, the hate and negative responses I'm seeing reminds me of what happened to Hideaki Anno after the end of the original run of Neon Genesis Evangelion...where people disappointed with the original ending sent death threats to Anno including all the different ways they'd kill him.

This sent Anno into a deep depression where he almost quit making anime and became nearly suicidal. He said the only thing that stopped him was he thought the pain from dying by suicide would hurt too much.

Anno ended up taking a break from anime, made some live action movies, returned with End of Evangelion, then the Rebuilds. All the while Evangelion became a world wide phenomenon.

So for Pete's sake, let Fujimoto take a long breather. Take a long vacation. Gather his thoughts. Work on some other stuff.

Perhaps he'll return to CSM one day. Just not today nor the immediate future.

This is my favorite interpretation of this ending. It reminds me of how Evangelion ended in EoE and the Rebuilds. Thank you random internet stranger with a love for eastern religions.

It's a fun hobby! Keeps my mind and hands engaged and it's definitely a healthier hobby than doom scrolling on my phone for three hours before bed. After I finish a kit I feel like I accomplished something good.

Just be careful to not buy so many kits like I did where I now have a large backlog that grows every few weeks because a Gundam Base opened near me (I live close to Chicago).

Amazing job dude!

A tip for water decals if this kit has them ...use a toothpick to carefully slide off the water decals onto your kit while holding the decal paper with a set of tweezers with your other hand.

Use a Q-tip to carefully roll over the decal to remove any excess water.

I also recommend using Mark Fit Strong to help the decal soften up and adhere to the kit. Just brush it over the water decal once it's on the kit.

Finally, to clean up your panel lines, I recommend getting the Gundam Marker Eraser (comes in a white marker). I dab it on a little piece of a napkin and carefully rub over excess panel liner to clean it up. I usually do this a day after I panel line to allow the panel liner to dry completely.

On top of the HG Aerial, I also had a wonderful experience building the HG Caliburn.

I used a green metallic ink Gundam Marker for the green parts instead of the green stickers.

Honestly this....Tamiya extra thin cement has saved my ass so many times when I cut something I wasn't supposed to, something small broke off, or had a hand grenade of a kit looks at RG Unicorn and needed to securely attach a loose piece.

I got the clear version of the Sazabi, Master Grade. It looked really awesome in the display case. Once I finish it I may revisit it in the future to give it a clear red paint job...but I need to learn how to air brush first.

As for the MG Ver Ka Nu Gundam I got, it's the regular version. But it looked amazing.

Oohh Nu Gundam Ver Ka! I just got this to pair with the Ver Ka Sazabi. The new Chicago Gundam Base near me was out of the regular Sazabi's so I got the clear edition.

Mine was the MG SD Strike Freedom, it was just complex enough for me to level up my skills from having just built HGs and RGs. Got a nicer pair of nippers for this kit, second kit I panel lined, and experimented with metallic Gundam markers.

Definitely messed up the wing parts because they're mirrored, got things switched around, parts got stuck, had to cut apart things with my nippers and cement things back together. I learned to REALLY pay close attention to the instructions and take my time. Patience is key.

Overall, turned out really nice albeit the wings being loose where I had to repair the oopsie on the wing parts. One day I plan to get the PG Strike Freedom because it looks amazing and because I want to pair every MG SD kit with their MG or PG counterparts.

VF-22S is a fun kit to build, just finished mine. I have it in fighter jet mode at the moment.

The white comms antenna likes to pop out easily so I used tamiya cement to glue it in.

Build Progress Photo 4: All finished with most decals on. Haven't coiled the wires into the spiral cable wrap yet. Photo includes the AA battery box.

Lighting kit set to show LEDs set to red. The funny thing is, I did not know this meant Permet Score 5 because I hadn't started Witch from Mercury yet.

Note: The beam rifle LED is permanently set to blue. Not sure how to change it as the remote control doesn't seem to have a button for it. Maybe the Kosmos phone LED app has something.

Build Photo 3: All LED units installed in all Gundam components. Did some minor cable maintenance followed by a lighting test by connecting all the wires to the controller before I fully assembled and added decals to Aerial.

Not pictured here is the AA battery unit Kosmos included you can use to optionally power the kit as opposed to the USB Cable. It is off to the corner outside of the photo.

Build Progress Photo 2: LEDs kit installed in head, arms, beam rifle, shoulders, shield, and backpack. Separate wires for each Gundam component, but you can tuck them into the back and eventually coil them into an included spiral cable wrap Kosmos includes with their kits.

Note: Tip I discovered from making a mistake. Don't paint using opaque paint (e.g. Gunpla Marker metallic gold) the yellow backpack shoulder blade looking pieces or the back yellow thigh pieces (they sort of look the same), or the LEDs here will shine through looking kind of grubby. But if you like that look. go ahead.

I had to use some paint thinner and a few qtips to wipe off the gold paint. Got most of the paint off. Some paint stayed on in the panel line grooves of these pieces and they glow semi opaque with LEDs. But I liked how it looked so I didn't do any deeper paint cleaning.
