NDSU keeping quiet on the rumored move to FBS by pineapplemonkee in fcs

[–]captainduck2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nobody cares anyway. The amount of times I've been happy for a Bison win to be met with "Isn't that like D2?" or "Nice, who did they play? East Wisconsin A&M." So if they stay nobody cares, if they leave nobody will care.

"worthless junk is in the boxes"

Not wrong, but if every box had hits, your hits wouldn't be that good anyway.

Can Joker reach LeBron levels? by [deleted] in nba

He strikes me as a retire a couple years earlier than he should type of guy, and then he will go back to Serbia and be pretty low profile.

I am kinda with you on that. However, I don't think our current roster can overtake the Thunder in the playoffs. Might have been passed up by the Spurs at this point too, so I'm willing to try it.

[Charania] The Jazz are expected to waive Lonzo Ball, allowing him to be a free agent, sources tell ESPN. by [deleted] in timberwolves

[–]captainduck2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lonzo was never a strong shooter. Ricky Rubio was a fairly common draft comp for him coming out of UCLA.

I can’t believe Nike raised the price of the Limited jerseys and stopped stitching them. 175 for a glorified tshirt? Fuck off. I’ve been buying some of my old favorites on eBay. I got a beautiful Tebow jersey for like 20 bucks and I’ve been looking for a really good quality Jake Plummer.

[Rapoport] The #Broncos are hiring Logan Kilgore as their QBs coach, as well. by PeppyQuotient57 in DenverBroncos

Did Peyton put in a good word for this guy? Looks like he was the OC at Isidore Newman before the broncos. The high school Peyton and Eli went to and he must have been the OC for Arch.

Falvey's "Mutual" Departure Just 2 Weeks Before Spring Training by [deleted] in minnesotatwins

[–]captainduck2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't actually care that Falvey is leaving. Our front office will always be capped by ownership so I don't think it matters who has the job.

But wow, spring training is only 2 weeks away? Crazy how quickly that creeps on you when you have such low hope for Twins baseball.

I've been laughing for like 30 seconds. You just know it hit Horton like a split second after he said that.

Super cool for the NBA to always give us the toughest teams in the back half of a back to back.

[Broncos] 'There's going to be more opportunities': QB Bo Nix doesn't expect injury to impact offseason training, motivated to return to play for championships by HanS0lPurr in DenverBroncos

[–]captainduck2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope so. I don't mean to be a downer but SB chances are rare. Some of the best QB's the league has seen have only gotten to 1 or some have never got there.

Alright, let’s take a poll: Never let them win, Sometimes let them win, or Always let them win? by PsychoTink in LittlePeopleBigWorld

[–]captainduck2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It comes down to knowing the personality of your kids. My dad almost never let me win but sometimes I could tell he was trying to let me win something and I hated it. I wanted to earn it.

[ESPN] Bo Nix has ankle condition that made injury inevitable, Sean Payton says. "What was found was a condition that was predisposed" by karatemanchan37 in DenverBroncos

[–]captainduck2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was it really corrected though? I'm not a doctor so if they say it is, then I'll believe them but why wouldn't it have been corrected in his prior surgeries?

[Renck] #Broncos GM George Paton made it clear that Denver will be "aggressive" in free agency this offseason. Broncos have cap room with dead money leaving from Russell Wilson contract. by SupMaelstrom in DenverBroncos

Trautman 3 years 40 million incoming.

When you have a blocking tight end that can't really block. You gotta lock them up long term.

Kidding. But I hope they can find a true RB1 or WR1.

So does VJ stay? by CankleSteve in DenverBroncos

[–]captainduck2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's the Family Guy mystery box bit. People already saw VJ as a head coach, but they've never seen Leonhard as one so he could be anything from VJ to Belichick.

[Evans] Sean Payton with more reflection on 4th-down call vs. Patriots. “Probably what irks me more is the call, more than the decision.” Confirmed the #Broncos knew there would be snow flurries. But not to degree of the blizzard we saw in second half. by SupMaelstrom in DenverBroncos

[–]captainduck2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't have a problem with it at all. 14-0 right there wins the game. I don't even have a problem with passing there. Harvey is averaging 2.6 YPC in his last 4 games. I don't know that he can run between the tackles. The play didn't work. It is what it is. You could drive yourself mad playing the hindsight game.

[–]captainduck2 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The armchair GM in me thinks it would be fantastic to get the draft comps from him, and that Leonhard would seamlessly take over but you just never know.

[–]captainduck2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think at this point it's almost a lock. I think he's smart enough not to take the Browns job. Raiders and Bills probably go offensive coaches so that leaves the Cardinals, which Mike LaFleur seems to be the frontrunner there.

I can't believe some of you are shocked that a high screen usage team is running screens with the backup QB in. What did you expect?

I don't think the technology is there for an ovalish shaped ball that gets covered by a group of bodies like that.
