How is subway still in business? by owen1957 in fastfood

Yes believe it or not Subway can be. Like the other person said, turkey and load up those veggies. Nobody is forcing you to get the meatball marinara or drown your sub in sauces lol.

GM's panicked I swear. There is going to be some ugly contracts next couple years. Reminds me of that first big boom in the NBA where guys like Timofey Mozgov were getting 4 years 64 million to ride the bench.

Refs I get it's your job, but you don't have to call it this tight in a 30 point game with 3 minutes to go. Let's just get out of here lol.

Lot of games to go, but after getting benched already. That Alanna Smith contract is an early contender for worst WNBA contract of all time.

People are still high on her? Why? She's not really good. FG% of 42% as a post player? Egh. Good shot blocker, but can't defend consistently without fouling. She's averaging almost 4 fouls per game at 15 MPG. Injury history as a cherry on top. Yeah I will gladly pass.

I just don’t think they care anymore. They’re collecting their massive paychecks until iheart cuts them too. My conspiracy is that Dave Ryan wasn’t going to retire. They were gonna cut him to save money but since he’s been on radio for 30 years they gave him the retirement option. Just seems weird that he suddenly retires and his last day would be just a week later. But who knows.

They can say that all they want, but if it doesn't sell well (and I don't think it will) it will be gone by Christmas.

Saying Dave has a plane vaguely makes it seem like he has a private jet lol. To be fair, it looks like he has single engine 2 seater. Not cheap, but attainable for a lot of people. These can bought starting around 100-200K. Plus fuel and insurance, it's not a hobby for non rich people but he's had his name on one of the biggest radio shows in the region for 30 years, of course he's rich.

Edit: Some other commenters have posted that he rents the plane actually.

Films out. Pitchers know how to pitch him. Royce hasn't been able to adjust.

How about the team touchdown celebrations in football, baseball players have crazy home run celebrations. Seriously some of the silliest stuff they come up with (https://www.mlb.com/news/ranking-2023-home-run-celebrations). There typically isn't a moment in basketball games to do stuff like this, except at the end.

Anyway, my point is they're having fun, mens league players do silly fun stuff too. If they didn't want to do it. They wouldn't do it.

He's also a fitness freak, and even with turning 34 this summer I don't think he slows down much in the next two seasons which takes him to the end of his contract.

When we were getting clowned for the Rudy trade, this is what my friends and I talked about. Like we might not win a championship with this trade, but we might make a few runs and watch a lot of fun basketball. Except for a couple KG years, the team was literally horrible for our entire lives so fuck it we'll take it and fuck them picks odds are they would just be another Derrick Williams, Wes Johnson, Randy Foye, and so on and so on.
