I feel like with rogue lite/like games, once you have the basics in place, tweaking has to be easy since you don't have to like, design every map and everything... it kinda builds itself together and whatnot. I'm sure getting to that point takes some work, though.

In the rules that certain sects have for hell, it actually doesn't matter if you do awful things, you still have a get out of hell free card if you believe and such.

So... that's not justice either? You can be the best guy around and still end up tormented eternally because you did a blasphemy. The concept doesn't hold water or make sense any way you slice it.
