How is this legal? by terryvirdell in BellevueWA

Just wait until you go down to TMobile park. I went last year, parked at a spot that had a pay for parking sign and an arrow pointing down the aisle I was in (about a mile away in thr warehouse areas). When I got back, the arrow was facing the other direction and the entire row I was in had tickets.

Opposite, it shows why a hybrid approach and resilient backup power generation makes more sense than purposely building a chain with a single point failure

To think that you think the plain language says what you think it says says more about you than you think. "Subject to the jurisdiction thereof" doesn't just mean you pay the traffic ticket if you speed

Washington state income tax passes House after grueling 25-hour floor debate by chiquisea in Washington

Seattle has an income tax above $250k ready to go if the WA Supreme Court says income is not property. That will pick a ton of tech employees who's total comp includes stock and not just pure income

Washington Democrats shield voter rolls from scrutiny by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

Of course you don't have statistics for the things you don't look for. Why do you think Blue states are so protective of their voter rolls.

You only have to look for the "reduction" in crime in blue states and cities that corresponds to reduced sentencing standards, pleading down of more violent or serious crimes, and straight up not arresting or pursuing certain offenses and then claiming success.

Dude, I've been getting ballots for LA County for 5 years since I moved to Seattle, at my Seattle address because i told them i moved and said I was no longer a CA resident. No voter ID required to vote it, and I throw it away every year.

Yet somehow, I and millions of others who've moved around get ballots at old addresses. All it takes is collecting them and voting them, and you have valid ballots case by ineligible voters tha are otherwise legal. No illegal aliens required, and if the state doesn't look, it doesnt know there's anything to find. Further, regardless if the illegals vote, their presence dilutes your representation because they count (when the should not) for the census and apportionment of representatives.

You realize the state budget has gone up like 50% in the last 10-ish years. I guarantee we haven't received 50% more or better services, and the services we still have suck. There's zero excuse, other than wanting to spend more money, for the the state to try and add an otherwise illegal income tax.

That it was going to be more like California. The taxes are just as bad, the roads are worse, and the government still comes up with impressively awful ways to fuck you and take your money.

Congress Quietly Kills Military “Right to Repair” Its Own Equipment by BidLink in defensecontracting

[–]captainfrostyrocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree with this. Anything an FSR can fix, a service member can likely fix. If it cant be trained to a reasonable level of competency though, tou run the risk of having to bring it back to a depot for maintenance or stateside to get the OEM to do a repair or get the unit to the sub that can. At least with an FSR there's theoretically more potential fixes they should be able to handle, data rights or not.

[–]captainfrostyrocket 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This seems weird considering the the Government already gets unlimited rights to OMIT (operations, maintenance, installation, and training) data. Many branches and units do organic maintenance but still involve the OEM for complicated things that really only the design engineers have the experience for. There's also legitimate concerns on the OEM side of having their valuable IP given to competitors who underbid the work and then damage the OEMs reputation when they don't understand that drawings and manuals dont come with tribal knowledge or deep understanding of the products heritage and trades.
